I prefer Simmons, because I think he's going to be DOMINANT in the long term....however, Ingram is a better fit for the here and now
I think that was if it was the #3 pick. But who knows? If they can get a really good return (someone like PG13) then maybe go ahead and do it.
I'm just happy that we got to keep that pick - Either one is another forward so we have
Clarkson - G
Russell - G
Randle - F
Ingram or Simmons - F
Now all we need is a center
Whiteside kind of banged up, and yes if the Lakers trade for another top star, then they will attract free agents, but they got to get one big name first in order to get the othersWhiteside? Rumours have it Miami aren't going to offer him the max
yeah, I'm kinda torn on it.
I understand them wanting to get a vet in here, but at the same time I would love to see Russell, Clarkson, Simmons/Ingram, Randle and Black ( who I would start at center over Hibbert unless they could somehow get Whiteside ) all develop together.
They don't need to trade the pick. Just get either player and call it a day. No time for over thinking.unless the rumors are true and the Lakers plan on trading the pick to get a vet.

Excellent spot. There's really little need to do any work. Just take whoever is left of Simmons or Ingram. Don't make it any more complicated than it needs to be. There's like 98.6% of not fucking this up. Like don't even entertain trade offers unless its a godfather offer, even then, just think about.
And if the Kings call, hang up immediately. No Boogie.
There have been rumors that the Lakers are going to make a run after him - I actually believe that with Kobe finally gone - there is a bigger chance that the Lakers could do an instant rebuild like Miami did the year they traded their team away a year before they signed Lebron, Wade and Bosh.I hear Whiteside could possibly be available...
As for trading the pick, you gotta field offers, and you have to call up and do your due diligence as well.I mean who knows what kind of offer we may or my not receive....but for the here and now, I'll just assume that we'll be sticking with Simmons/Ingram
How about Jah and no. 1 for no. 2, Russell and unprotected next year's 1?
