Over the cap, so they can't get any more players.

No Howard, Kobe injured......they may tank and become a lottery team. I don't see a good season on the horizon for the Lakers next year.

just one season, then look out with plenty of cap space...

lol, haters gonna hate...

Who's hating?

LOL, you think they're going to build an entire roster of FAs and win? You realize that's never worked in ANY sport right?

You also realize Short Buss is still calling the shots, right?

LMAO if you think cap space is going to solve this problem with that idiot running the team......

The entire rosters weren't built with FAs.......try again.

Lakers will have Nash as the only cat under contract. Show me all the draftees filling out that roster please.

Neither do any Laker fans!! That's why we're looking at the Lakers taking their lumps next season and then beginning to re-make the roster next summer when only Nash id on the books!!

The Lakers are in a good position to have a 2-3 year lull before being back in the hunt. Just like when Shaq left!!

If Dr Buss was calling the shots, I'd agree with you......or even Phil.

Miami's pretty much was. Boston was via trade but its the same principle, assembling a team all at once and expecting to compete. Sorry but you're wrong.

Right, because Chalmers, Cole, Anthony, Haslem, and Wade were all free agents.

They picked up Bosh and Lebron, and later added Miller and Allen.

They didn't pick up all their players at ONE point, sorry YOU are wrong.

You're a fucking moron. I said its all the same principle, putting together a team and expecting to contend. Boston and Miami's cores were all assembled at once. Everyone had to learn to play together on the fly. They didn't just magically fold into a system that was already in place. Both created new dynamics that were drastically different than before. Same thing would happen if the Lakers signed 12 news players. You said no one has ever won that way. You're wrong. You want to be technically right and say no one has ever signed an entire roster of FAs and won, fine because its technically true but its trivial. The chemistry dynamics are the same throughout. Teams assembled quickly can and have won. But keep believing what you want to fit your arguments.

My argument NEVER changed to begin with. You've admitted my point, YOU are the one putting qualifiers on it.

Miami built the core in one offseason......and lost. They gradually added more pieces. Teams don't go out and sign 10+ players and then win - hasn't happened in any sport, at any time.

The principle is NOT the same. Signing 2 or 3 starters is VASTLY different than signing 10 players!

GTFOH with that nonsense, you knew damned well what my point was to begin with!

You really are a moron if you can't see its the same. Boston and Miami had 6 players return to their teams the years their championship caliber teams were assembled. Both Boston and Miami brought in players, including stars, that dramatically altered their teams. Adding 7 or more players to fill out a 15 man roster is a dramatic turn around for any team, especially bringing in stars. It is the same as a complete reset because the way you play changes. Boston won the championship the year they did it. Miami made it to the Finals. Your point to begin with was you can't bring together multiple pieces together and expect to win. (Really your point was just wanted to shit on the Lakers but I digress) If it's not the same ideologically, explain how it is different? How is chemistry different from a team with signing loads of free agents than those assembling the majority of their team another way in a single season? Explain how the Xs and Os stay the same for one as opposed to the other. If you can do that, I may believe you

Just because the Laker CAN replace the entire roster with the exception of Nash next summer, doesn't mean that they will. It's likely that there will be a few players who will return. The point is that the Lakers will be able to replace the "core" of the roster beginning next summer!!
