A win here would be nice, while not expected of course.

Trailing, 50-43, with just under 5 minutes left before halftime.

That loss was something to build on.

AD and RW played well but LeBron had a rough shooting night.

THT played well last night and has made 36% of his 3's the last 10 days.

He's auditioning for his next team the rest of the season. I'd love to trade him for Hield in the offseason.

I wouldn't. It is high time the Lakers to start keeping their assets instead of looking elsewhere. Get rid of their dead weight and go back to looking for their own talent like Doumbouya who is a damn good player just sitting on the bench.

Hield would be a perfect fit on this team and they could trade RW in the offseason since he'll be in the last year of his deal.

Definitely not having a good year. His value is entirely in 3 pt shooting, and this season he's worse (36%) than most of the Lakers shooting guard options currently on the roster (Bradley 38%, Monk 40%, Ellington 38.5%) as well as Melo at 39%.

So, if James is going to "hang around" to finish his contract and then hope it works out for him to play with his son in Cleveland, what are the Lakers planning on doing to rebuild this shit-show of a team while James is doing what he wants?

Check out Hield's numbers since being traded to Indy. He had some really good games. Passing and rebounding in addition to his great shooting.

With Ad and James? He would get wide open looks.

34.2 from 3 in his last 10. Passing and rebounding numbers with Indy do not project to LA, given the ball dominance of Russ and Lebron and the presence of those 2 and AD on the boards.

He would get wide open looks, but the Lakers didn't have a real option to trade for him at the deadline. If he's great for the Pacers the rest of the year, do they even look to move him?

Everything hinges on moving Westbrook and AD staying healthy (or moving him), all big obstacles. Lakers will need to either re-sign all of these one year contract vets or replace them with different ones, but that isn't likely to sway the fortunes of the team overall in a big way. They will be hard pressed to even keep Monk if he gets solid offers (which they can't come close to matching now).

Yea Shopson, the Lakers via James being the deFacto GM has ran this franchise into the proverbial shithole and Jeannie Buss has allowed with her multi-head consulting board. This shit-show is not going away and is going to get worse for a while into the future until James finally leaves.

Hield is averaging 22ppg, 6rpg, and 4 apg while shooting 49% and 38% with Indy!!!!

With James and AD.....he could set a career high in FG and 3 percentage.

Let's say we decided to totally blow it up in the offseason. Check this out.

LeBron to the Cavs for Love, Levert and say a 2nd. He goes back to Cleveland and we get 2 expiring contracts.

RW to OKC for Favors and Muscala. OKC doesn't have to send back equal salary for him since they are way under and both teams get expiring.

Nunn
THT
Levert
Love (limit him to 25-28mpg)
AD

Reaves
Melo (if he wants to return)
Stanley Johnson
Muscala
Favors

Sign some guys to fill out the squad.

Suck it up and after next season we go after the big name free agents.....

Decent starting 5 but we'd be looking at about 25-28 wins because the bench isn't very good and no chance Love and AD play more than 60-65 games.

Or since RW's value is very low right now. Keep him and trade James and AD.

Trade LeBron to the Cavs for Love (expiring contract), Levert and say a 2nd. He goes back to Cleveland and we get 2 expiring contracts.

Trade AD to Atlanta for Collins, Gallinari (expiring contract) and a 1st. Collins is locked in through 26 (player option) but he is the only one locked in at a high number.

Levert
Collins
Love (limit him to 26-28mpg)

Gallo
