Some of the media panic over the Lakers start just cracks me up.

Don't look now, but the Lakers have won 3 of their last 4.

Through their first 11 games, they have played 8 against teams that made the playoffs last year and 1 that missed the playoffs by 1 game.

They beat the Suns the way you would expect a good team to beat them, barely beat the Mavs and their other 3 wins were against 2 playoff teams and the team that missed the playoffs by 1 game.

They had a shot at winning every game they've played in except Toronto.

Something tells me the Lakers will be just fine.

We have another back-to-backer this week-end starting with the Queens Saturday and the Hawks come to Staples on Sunday. I'd like to see the Lakers get above .500 for the first time this year.

WE are up 17-10 and our D is looking better so far.

The Kings of cut the lead down to 45-41 as rthe second quarter is coming to a close.

It is becoming increasingly obvious that Tyson Chandler is the defensive presence in the middle in a back-up role that we have missed for some time. This FA signing is turning out to be a pretty good one.

Another Kuzma steal and another Kuzma dunk on the break and we are up by 10 with 1:30 left in the quarter.

McGee is the only other Laker besides LBJ that has double figures in points scored. This will have to change as we are up 13 as the third comes to a close.

The lead has ballooned to 16 points. Methinks we have this one in the bag to finally reach .500.

With that three-pointer by the Queens, the lead is down to 12 points. We have not scored in the last two minutes. This is has been a bad habit that refuses to die. We have been fading in the fourth. We need to finish out games and here is another opportunity.
