I was pleasantly surprised at that. I've liked Williams as a backup, but his role has been primarily that of a backup to Eddie G, not Nichols. Good to see his versatility here. His replacement Williams looked good.
See, to me... this means he could play Monday. Non-skill guys play casted all of the time.
Correct. I shouldn't rule him out until I see that it's official. I recall Leonard playing with a hand cast to start last season as well, so never say never.See, to me... this means he could play Monday. Non-skill guys play casted all of the time.
Nagy treats injuries with the utmost of care...I doubt he sees the field. He's all about spreading the playtime and believing in the next guy in line...to our benefit and detriment the way I see it.
Last year, Floyd played the first month with a cast.
There's nothing unsafe about it. The injured part of the body is in a hard cast.
Eh. Maybe you're right. I don't trust our team when it comes to injuries after some of the things we saw last year. I guess we can wait until Nagy refers to Nichols as a "gametime decision" to officially rule him out.
What do you mean here? Not being a dick... I just really don't recall us ever putting a player unnecessarily in harms way.
And I mean... Goldman and Burton were both GDT's yesterday and played. It truly is a 50/50 designation.
Trubisky...Burton...Jackson...Mack...all last season.
How much did Burton actually play yesterday? I only saw him out there a fraction of the time in the second half.
At least so far the news is a bit encouraging, as Nagy doesn't expect the Bears to place Nichols on the IR. However, it will still be a couple of days before his official status is determined. What's a bit surprising here is there's still no word as to whether his injury is a break, a sprain, a tear, etc.
Matt Nagy doesn't expect Bilal Nichols to hit IR with wrist injury
He broke it.
He's out.
