Got a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 that is white with black rims, black bull bar, black tonneau cover, and black full length steps. Want to keep the tail lights black to keep the contrast. Cannot decide between these 3. What so you all?

Was leaning towards #1, but could not make a decision. Hard to find decent looking ones in black now. Unless you want the European styling which #3 is.

THank you gents.

Mr. Randle. I know you are a Ford man and I like Fords, but they are not aggressive looking enough for me(Unless you buy the Raptor). Hence why I went with the Dodge.

Sweet looking truck. Did you know you can get the tail lights and head lamps tinted? I just found that out yesterday. I might do that with mine.

I like the 1st set of lights you have picked out.

Thought about having them wrapped, but I want the LED lights due to the brightness. Too many times I have ended up at a stoplight with some ricer under the back bumper since my truck is lifted. So I put the LED bar under the tailgate and that helped out a lot.

Also trying to find a set of street legal lights for my bull bar since my truck does not have fog lamps. Have yet to find a pair and I have looked everywhere I can think of.

Nothing about 3 is Euro. It is what the ricer JDM crowd thinks is Euro.

I would go with 1, then 2 and take stock over 3.

Huh, I think a lifted Ford with over sized tires is the most aggressive looking truck.
But I actually think all of the new domestic trucks are good looking, and wouldn't hesitate in buying a half ton sporting either badge.

I like the F150, then the Ram, then the Silverado in that order for US trucks. Not a fan of any of the full size import trucks, though Tundra is getting there. Tacoma is a great "small" truck, but I'm hoping Ford reintroduces the Ranger in the next couple of years when I'm ready to buy. Since I drive 40 miles roundtrip, a smaller truck with a smaller v6 would be best for me.

Nice looking truck OP. Never been a fan of the Rams suspension softness, but they might be figuring it out. If Iwere to have a Ram it would only be for the Cummins. :suds:

I prefer the stock lights on that truck over any of the smoked ones, though.

If they do it is only for fleet orders. I asked a guy at a show once when they were going to update the Ranger. he said "why?". Basically it is the best selling light-fleet truck, so why update it. Then a couple of years ago they stopped selling them, I think to everyone. I'm hoping it is just to pull from the market while they update the look. That is why for like 10 years the Ranger basically never changed, because the main buyers were small companies and fleet services that were looking for a uniform product.

I never knew that.
I know they shut down the Ford plant here, that assembled the Ranger, but I thought it was just a downsizing move.

Just found where they have a 2014 Ranger, but doesn't sound like it will be in the US for some reason. Not a big deal, looks shitty anyways

Don't forget to cover the top brake light - even though it'll say "semenholes."

No need to put an FSU 3rd brake light cover on it. I have my license cover, front license plate, and two decals at the bottom of the back window.

In the 250 or 350 series you are correct, but not in the 150 series. At least not to me. The Dodge's have a more aggressive rake and stance. If you put them side by side you can see the difference. The hood on the 150 is not very aggressive either. In my opinion. Plus the Dodge is actually taller stock than the Ford is.

To the last sentence I will NEVER buy a Chevy truck. Hell someone could give me a brand new one and I would sell it the instant I was given the keys. Cannot stand Chevy's of any kind made after 1970.

You can buy the paint and do it yourself. It's pretty easy. I think the kits come with some sand paper, the tint, and some clear coat.
