All ill say is while the 1st goal was a bad bounce for him, and the 2nd goal was a prime chance, I wasnt exactly thrilled with him tonight.

Great chance or not, the way he played the 2nd goal was horrific. And the 3rd goal straight up cannot go in.

He made this win harder than it should have been tonight.

First goal was tough bounce. 2nd and 3rd weren't good goals to let in, I had a bigger problem with the second because that's a pretty high risk reward play to make there. With the final one I was so annoyed that we let Del Zotto march all the way to the net uncontested. Marty made about 5-7 5star saves during that game though.

Bingo on the 2nd goal. Like why not just slide across w the play like every other goalie in the nhl on that one. It's a high percentage chance, but you up the percentage when you try to get fucking cute like he did

Because our goalie can't do that and never has. That's just the trade off we take with him.

Even with that 2nd goal, I was so pissed that we even let Boyle into that position to shoot. Same with the 3rd.

This game was a prime example of what we already knew. He can make some absolutely impossible saves and then 3 minutes later, let in a softie. The problem is that as he gets older, there are more softies. It used to be 1 per game that made you shake your head. Now it is more like 2 or 3.

Just look at his shutout totals this year. I think that tells you all you need to know about what his game currently is.

Dk. Nail head on. Just slide over with the play! On the 1st goal yeah bad bounce but Marty put that puck back into play moose other hand lets that hit him.covers it up. Goaltending will be what dooms us in the playoffs this year. Rangers are primed for a 1st round ko.
