:L

He has us in his Next Four Out right now on the bubble. He says if Nebraska can beat Oklahoma State in the first round and Kansas in the second round, then the NCAA committee all of a sudden has to open their eyes to the possibility of 7 Big 12 teams..........this is because Okie State is about 15 spots ahead of us in the RPI rankings and Kansas is of course #1 in the country in the RPI.

So, while our lineup in the Big 12 tournament is as difficult as it can possibly get, it does allow for us to make a splash I guess

I'm not biting this time.........I've taken the bait too many times as a Husker basketball fan, and Saturday night was almost enough to drive me to start shootin heroin. I think Lunardi is honestly a closet Husker fan or something...........me thinks he be crazy

At least we know we're a virtual lock for the NIT..........we might as well go and leave it all on the floor in the Big 12 Tourney, because there is absolutely zero to lose at this point.

The NIT is more specialer anyways the way I see it........I mean, it's such a special tournament that you don't even ever see teams like Kansas or Duke get invited :D

I am confused as to why we should do this now at this time rather then in every game we played this season... which by the way you said in prior post that the roundball team did in fact put in 110% effort every time they played. (Compared efforts of our roundball team to be > Football Team! pffft....

So I am now confused...

Which is it...? We always do or did but did not put in the effort on the floor since when but need to now because of why? :frusty:

Actually BRS, I wasn't referring to effort when I said "leave it all out on the floor".........that is something you will never have to worry about with Doc Sadler coached team.

I was referring to taking risks...........we might as well go balls to the wall and try everything we have now.............no conservative gameplanning offensively is really needed at this point. We have nothing to lose.

Yea Lunardi is really the only one who knows what he's talking about..........sometimes I swear it seems like the Selection Committee refers to his bracketology when making decisions.

LMAO...

I just had a vision..

We line up with a 5 man power "I" run the fuckers over and score..

Is that what you mean?

What does a conservative offensive game plan look like in round ball with a 35second clock?

Really... I am serious.. If it is like the Princeton team a few years back and try to hold the ball and score in the 30s and 40s.. then I understand... but what have you seen that makes you think we have been conservative.

I realize we don't (run and gun) like a lot, but that is because we get so out of control (turnovers) when we do... that Doc pulls back the reigns a little...

So, tell me... what is conservative or how have we been conservative if we are playing at 110% effort, can't speed up the tempo because we know better than to try... and play aggressive "D".

Explain; "Balls to the Wall" to this football minded individual.

I still like my initial thought best. We have what 9 or 10 guys on the team?

5 fouls each... fuck, by the time we hit 25 Offensive fouls, those beotches would be sidelined with all sorts of booboo's... LMAO!

That's what I'm talking about... Smash mouth Basketball... Yeeeeeaaaaa!

We rank 300th out of 346 teams in the country in offensive tempo.............we also rank 12th in the Big 12.

We have always ran the playclock all the way dead and just looked for a good quality shot. I think in the Big 12 tournament we need to let Jeter and Richardson use their ball handling skills to try and get to the rack as much as possible........see if we can get teams in foul trouble, and hopefully make some free throws which we haven't done as of late.

During the regular season it's easy to want to be conservative on offense and wait for the best possible shot you can take.........especially if your Nebraska who was coming off a 2-14 record in the previous season. But now it's do or die........without risk there just simply is no reward at this point in the season. Time to attack the basket and see if we can catch teams off guard.

We'll still see that effort on the defensive end of the floor.

I like my idea better....

5 man power "I" formation ....LOL

Might as well see how physical we can be and get by with, since we will be gong to a more physical Big Ten next year...

Weds guest coach... BO! :yo:
