Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Ok, that covers the thread title. Now, about these Black Friday deals on tv's, is this a good deal? What am I getting? LED or LCD? I don't know much about the flat screen tv's. I do believe 1080 is what I want at the very least, right? Are these deals available online?

1080p LCD HDTV | 46" BRAVIA BX420 Series HDTV | KDL-46BX420 | Sony USA

LCD

I have the 55" version. Love it
If you a basic TV with a kick-ass picture and solid build... this is a good deal.

(don't have a need for all the internet in my TV, have Roku, Bluray witth it, etc etc.. And fuck 3D)

im gonna say thats not a good price beantown ... the product is top notch but you gotta be able to find it cheaper

/im saying this because its selling in canada at futureshop.ca for the same price when literally anything is usually at least 20% more up here

Well, that's a savings of 22+%. I'll keep looking, but I'm moving and my bedroom in the new place is on the 2nd floor, and I'm not lugging my 35" Sony Trinatron up those stairs. What's better, LCD or LED? Here's where I'm looking. I'm trying not to spend too much ($700 or less if possible).

Yep, thats it. Pretty sure it's a new model so there really isn't a review yet. Gotta love how some people have already rated it even though they dont have it in their hands yet.

Thanks for messing up the rating system dickheads.

I think I might buy one right now. I'll take the chance at $200.

60hz is old tech and has a lot to do with the $200 price tag

120Hz is standard now, with 240Hz gaining traction (though pricey)

Will give you some motion blur for live sports.

... but... MASSIVE upgrade frrm your CRT and for $200 for a bedroom TV its great.
