Michigan has won 3 more games than a team like Northwestern has during this timeframe. You won't see anyone arguing NW has won a shit ton of games...
Pat Fitzgerald is a great, established, coach in a weak division in the B10. No, I don't see any problem with that.

I'm especially not worried about it because OSU hired a high school coach to replace the most elite HC who's ever been at the school.
What's :harbs3: excuse gonna be when the "hs coach" continues winning?

Huh? They hired Ryan Day, a guy who has coached college and NFL for basically his entire career.
I meant the quality of the coach, not the literal description of "high school coach".

That's a big IF. What IF Mark Dantonio turns into an offensive genius....just as likely.

Haha, yeah..."same"
You're suggesting a position coach with limited experience is going to match the success of one of the greatest coaches to very literally ever coach the game of college football....

That is significantly more likely than Harbaugh winning a title for the next 10 years. Hell it's more likely than Harbaugh winning even one national title in the next 10 years.

I'm not going to predict he'll match the success, just continue to beat michigan more often than not, and continue to compete for B1G championships along with the occasional playoff.

So you would say teams like Miami, temple, USC, Utah and Memphis have won a ton of games?

There's 4 teams that have won a shit ton since he's been there: Bama, Clemson, OSU and OU. Michigan isn't much different than those teams listed in the first sentence.

I don't know how any of those teams compare to Michigan in the last 4 years. I can't say without the data. It's also a bit different to do it in one of the toughest divisions in the sport and, say, what Temple may have done.

Winning a title is hard. I'd say Harbaugh has a better shot at winning the B10 before Day does.

Why? Harbaugh has shown time and time that he struggles in the biggest games while Day is more of a wild card/unknown commodity.

Because Harbaugh has an established defense and roster. Day is starting with a new staff, a unknown at QB and is himself an unknown head coach; Harbaugh has been close to a title game multiple times in 4 years; the barrier most years has been Urban's elite coaching ability, which is gone.

Of course you would. If you offered me Ryan Day or Jim Harbaugh as a head coach right now, I'd take Day without hesitation. Harbaugh is a decent coach who curls up in the fetal position when the lights get brightest. If you don't beat OSU this season, I don't know that it happens for a really long time.

You had no problem saying NW has won a ton of games and all those schools have won the same or 1 less than NW over the last 4 years. The only difference is those teams have actually accomplished something by either winning a conference or playing for a conference title.

Established how? The last time we saw Harbaugh's "established roster" you were getting smoked by a mediocre Florida offense and before that, got absolutely destroyed by a Ryan Day-led OSU offense.

You named a lot of teams I'm unfamiliar with in terms of coach, schedule and wins. The difference is familiarity with one team's accomplishments more than the 5 you listed.

Harbaugh has had an established defense the entire time at Michigan. He has continually made atrocious in game decisions. Michigan is throwing a guy who has never called a play in a game in his life to be in complete control of their offense. How is that not an unknown?
