I see mock drafts with Gurley dropping all the way to 55?! There is no way the Lions pass on both Gurley (twice) and Duke Johnson when there is a need at RB. Also when will people realize that the Lions do NOT value the need for corners like the rest of the league does, IF they pass on a RB in round one they would go OL/DL not corner. Just watch!

Yahoo! Sports' Charles Robinson reports the "word on the street" is Georgia RB Todd Gurley will be a top-10 pick.

Specifically, Robinson expects Gurley to be picked in the 6-10 range. The Jets and Falcons at Nos. 6 and 8, respectively, would seem to be the most logical fits in that range, as ESPN's Todd McShay's most-recent mock draft released on Wednesday has the Jets taking Gurley at No. 6. Gurley reportedly received "two thumbs up" at his medical recheck in Indianapolis, adding more fuel to Gurley's already piping-hot draft stock. He's a lock to come off the board on Day 1.

Probably a good thing.
I doubt Gurley goes that high in the first round. The dude had major knee surgery and would be a risky selection that high.

Supposedly he passed all those tests on his knees with flying colors. Just what I'm reading, idk.

I know he is supposedly in good physical condition but he is still a gamble in the first round.

how wrecked does someone have to be to see a cake reward rating on a post and it makes you hungry? :noidea:

Is that just me or does it happen to others? Just in case I need an intervention does anyone know where Johnie Football went to finish throwing away his career at?

Thank god, they dont need to waste a top pick (first three rds) on a rb. Hoping they draft an olinemen or a CB.

I'd say our next 4 first rounders, plus a 2nd and 3rd this year, should be enough to jump into the top 5 to ensure we get this guy. There's too many red flags there to let this guy drop too far.

I am not convinced when it comes to Gordon. Gurley I was until the injury. Now its a crap shoot. Better to avoid this situation.

I would still trade back and get an extra 3rd rounder. Maybe more.

:10: :agree:
been wanting for this to happen since I believe La'el Collins and Malcom Brown to be gone.

those are the only two I want in the 1st round when guessing who goes before us.

While you guys aren't wrong, I just value that RB position a little more than anything else at the moment for several reasons.

1. At 23, both Gordon and Gurley offer serious value.
2. A feature back is the key to this team to take over the division and beat good teams.
3. Both RBs are elite game changers that can carry teams and dictate games more than an offensive lineman.

I dont like the idea of a 1st round RB. I don't like Caldwell. I don't like the glimpse we've had so far of Lombardi, either. That being said, if these fucktards are going to be our guys then it absolutely makes sense to take a RB because they are so fucking stubborn about running the ball. It would also make sense to trade Calvin or Tate to be able to get a better OLine. It would make sense to trade Stafford for a QB who actually fits the "game manager" role while getting more compensation to keep building the OLine.

Not that I endorse any of that. But it makes absolutely no fucking sense to have a Ferrari and be using it to tow shit. Trade that fucker for a truck if that's what you want it for.

I strongly disagree. With emphasis on both strongly AND disagree.

But I'd be cool with Gurley. Just scared. More scared that he goes to Minny and is just stoopid awesome though. That would not be cool.

Nah, nah bro. I think youre exaggerating a bit. The team must find a running game and be able to run AND pass. I dint think they intend on being ultra conservative, I just think the goal is to simply be able to run it.

My fear is that they pass on them and next off season the Lions would look like fools for doing so. I can see that happening. I was thinking that Minny probably will consider taking Gurley and he will destroy us for years. Then Gordon will go to the Cowboys or something and kill it too.
