Yahoo! Sports' Charles Robinson reports the "word on the street" is Georgia RB Todd Gurley will be a top-10 pick.

Specifically, Robinson expects Gurley to be picked in the 6-10 range. The Jets and Falcons at Nos. 6 and 8, respectively, would seem to be the most logical fits in that range, as ESPN's Todd McShay's most-recent mock draft released on Wednesday has the Jets taking Gurley at No. 6. Gurley reportedly received "two thumbs up" at his medical recheck in Indianapolis, adding more fuel to Gurley's already piping-hot draft stock. He's a lock to come off the board on Day 1.

Probably a good thing.

For whatever reason, seems like this one is meant for me. I thought RBs weren't valuable at all. The Falcon could use some defensive help so why on earth would they consider Gurley?

I hope 10 running backs are drafted ahead of our pick. It only means we will have the option of more talented players at positions of need that don't include shiny toys for the offense. :)

I've heard others want Gurley. Falcons don't need any less help on D than the Lions do, and they have no one at RB. Miami might be in the mix to trade up into the top 10 for Gurley, but a WR might be in the mix too.

Is it ok to charge a fucking goose that is just standing in the damn street hoping you can kick the bastard in its balls?

What about a simple molotov cocktail made out of the Bacardi 151 you carry in your glove compartment? (don't fucking judge me)

What if you open the door as you drive by and behead the damn thing? Those all work for me.

Have TP douse it with 2 gallons of gas and blow it up like he did with his mattress.

A hah!! The use of the edit button, which I invented, helped to clarify the garbled non-sensical mess you originally posted. That's much better. I still don't get it, but at least I can understand it.

and so would La'el Collins be perfect for them, IMO, for the Phins. he could definitely help to solidify that OLine

Asa life long Lions fan I have seen way to many drafts played out in ways I could not even imagine. The only thing I am sure of is I am not sure what or when the Lions will draft.

Mayhew may trade up for Shelton.
He may trade down and take picks and Coleman.
The Lions may stand pat at 23 and take Funchess.

The only things I am sure of is we will argue and bitch over the pick.

So if Gurley is their at 23 I can see the Lions taking him, but I can see them passing on him as well....if for no other reason than to piss half the fan base off. Not on purpose of course but as a by product.

And the other things I know....

hey will say they got their guy.....the best player available....or we are extremely happy insert name was still available.

Agree. Really, I think he's way too good to slip to 23. But it'd be nice .

Anyone else think Grady Jarrett reminds them a little of Aaron Donaldson?

I kind of sort of get where you're going until this comment. but you could... nah :L

Funchess shouldn't even be mentioned in first night broadcast of media garbage talk until the end of the night. meaning he might be 1 one of the top 20 next available players and honestly not even then. IMO.

ab-so-lute-ly NOT...

Donald was more than an above average pass rusher who also excelled, to a certain extent, in the run stop game.

Jarrett, right now, is a talented pass rusher who survives off of his pad level and explosive 1st step but he'll get rocked and pushed back in the run support. at least that's what I saw on many occasion.

Body wise regarding physical measurements, yeah you can compare the two. Xavier Cooper is eerily similar to Jarrett but his motor won't stop as often as Jarrett. Either of those two would be worthy of 2nd round, IMO, only because it's highly doubtful they last past early 8 picks of 3rd round. There are always surprises and shock picks in the draft though

He was talking about the Lions right? Anything is possible.

yes he was. but try to convince me Funchess is on Mayhew's little board at #23. no

I, for one, am not all that thrilled with Mayhew in his 1st 3 full years as GM but he's attempting (key word right there) to correct his wrongs (to which are a lot, IMO)

I'm kind of digging the digging though... I was an okay ditch digger in my "hey" day

With Fauria's contract coming up, Mayhew could be eyeing the always important 3rd TE spot.
