@Old Lion

You realize I'm not smart enough to properly subtract 4 numbers from 5 numbers and come up with the correct answer.

So are homer sites Detroit Lions.com, Freep, Detroit News, M-Live, Pride of Detroit all infatuated with Burns (stating he's better than all DE in this draft from an thletic pass rushing specialist) and even over Sweat's measurables.

Check out that move at 3:50. That was really impressive.
You see JJ Watt and Von Miller do that a lot in run defense where they just shimmy the OT and slip in to the backfield and make tackles.

Great so we really get screwed. Our #8 plus #146 and #224 for Oakland's #24 &#27. It sure as hell wasn't Oakland's #24 & #35 like it was stated in that post I had yesterday from whatever damn article

He's amazing at times but his run stop lacks effort and strength. He's a perfect fit as a true 3-4 Edge/OLB.

Should be telling to see who is more on point.
NFL.com has Burns ranked 31st overall and draft network says he is a top 5 player in the class.
What we do know is that highly athletic, edge rushers don't tend to fall very far in drafts.

Burns will be drafted top 15, imo. Maybe top 8

Isn't that what Matt Patricia's defense is for the most part?
Hell, he made Van Noy a respectable player and I would put this guy as a way more talented player than him.

Actually 24 and 35 and 106 is close enough to 8 and 204 too.

I wouldn't be pissed if we took him or Oliver but I think we are pretty loaded on the interior with Snacks, Hand and Robinson.

These dudes are Brian Burns lovers all the way.
This is the only site where I saw anyone saying he is a freak athlete but looking at this measurables. His measureables are every bit as good as Sweat and Khalil Mack. I think Mack had a 40" vertical vs Burns 36". But everything else is almost the same.

2019 NFL Mock Draft - WalterFootball.com

Detroit Lions: Brian Burns, DE/OLB, Florida State
The Lions are desperate to trade down. They have countless needs and not enough picks to fill those holes, so I could see them sliding down 4-8 spots and selecting Brian Burns, who would provide a great pass-rushing presence across from the newly acquired Trey Flowers.

Burns is not seen as a top-15 prospect by several teams, but there's no doubting his immense upside. I'd say he also has a high floor as well; Burns has high-character marks and works extremely hard. He was a team captain at Florida State, which should be appealing to the Lions.

Pick change; previously Devin White, LB

10 NFL draft prospects who could have better careers as pros: Josh Jacobs, Mecole Hardman could break out

Daylon Mack, DT, Texas A&M: Dogged by expectations that traditionally accompany five-star recruits, Mack managed just 2 1/2 sacks and 7 1/2 tackles for loss in his sophomore and junior seasons combined before Jimbo Fisher's arrival as head coach helped him revive his career with the Aggies. At 6-1 and 336 pounds, Mack might not be counted on to chase down quarterbacks in the same fashion as fellow defensive tackles Quinnen Williams and Aaron Donald, but he can create a push in the pocket if he's not double-teamed.

Hoping he does not get too much press. Want him to fall to the sixth but that might be wishful thinking at this point.
