Yesterday didn't go well, but today looks a great deal better. Hopefully getting Walker back will spark this team in all facets.

And Wandy has looked pretty darned good lately. That trade worked out, at least. Snider's been good when he hasn't been hurt, though I would like to see more of his power.

In any case, we need to get going and be steady about it. I would love to see a little winning streak here. I think this team really needs at least .500. I think the fans really need at least .500.

i am excited about cutch, marte, snider in the Of with presley and tabata in reserve.
we have a nice IF of alvarez, walker, jones, with gabby and holt in reserve.

SS, can any holt, harrison, navarro, darnaud, mercer or combo get it done.

our pen will be great.

i smell a good trade in the offseason with some of our BP pitchers and a spare OF and IF to a team for depth to get a young ready to play SS.

If McCutchen is getting hot again, and if Jones keeps hitting, with Walker back in the lineup, I can see a nice run for this team. There is still hope, even despite this rough patch.

I don't think this is on Hurdle. He took Locke out when they started hitting him. No one he's put in has pitched well at all. I mean, when everyone in your bullpen is sucking, but you have to go there, it kind of handcuffs you.

They can't bunt, steal, throw anyone out stealing, can't take a walk, have no situational hitting, I could go on forever.

What do they teach these kids in the minors?

They deserve to extend the streak. Getting swept by the Cubs and then this series. The Cubs are terrible.

Good for Qualls and Leroux to settle things down in the bullpen. Now let's get a couple runs and turn it over to Grilli and Hammer.

Does Pedro have a third home run in him? That would be awfully nice. In any case, after wasting last inning's golden opportunity, we need to get those runs now. Sanchez has been pretty good today, maybe he can set the table for Pedro.

Its all on Hurdle. Why couldn't Resop start the 6th. Why was Hughes pitching to Rizzo. Nothing has gone right for Hurdle since he let McDonald blow that 7-1 lead againist the Padres.

Then why did he bring Resop in the 5th. Why would anyone bring in a career minor leaguer (a starter at that) to pitch in a pressure situation when you a bullpen full of veterans. Now tell me why Hughes was pitching to Rizzo with the bases loaded and two lefthanders in the bullpen. What is Hughes ERA since Lincoln was traded!
