They finally looked like a real football team yesterday with their QB back. They do have a defense that is good enough to keep them in most games once the offense isn't making silly mistakes.

My question is can they finish with a winning record/possibly make the playoffs?

Doubt it. They beat a bad Dallas team at home. That is all. Their schedule is favorable, but their offense isn’t good enough to stack wins at this point.

It largely comes down to Darnold. If he takes the next step, with that schedule and some breaks...they may get back to .500. I think that would be a really positive step for them.

I disagree. That schedule is weak enough where 20-24 points with their defense should be good enough to win most of those games

Not a fan of Dallas and think they're overrated but even Dallas is better than most of these teams

Yep as I said all along.

That game was the easiest game to pick ATS. Cowboys were like 7.5 favorites on Wednesday. They were never going to beat the Jets by that much with Darnold playing.

The game vs the Pats next Monday should be interesting with the struggles the Pats been having on offense.

I honestly think .500 should be a lock for them.

Should beat the Phins 2X, Skins, Giants, and Cincy for sure. That is already 6 wins then I think they should find a way to win at least 2 of 4 vs the Jags, Raiders, Ravens, and Steelers.

I will be disappointed if they don't finish 8-8 once Darnold doesn't get hurt

Not sure I'd completely agree. Anderson is a real thing with Darnold, imo. There's enough there if Darnold doesn't shit the bed. The Jets' issue is they're 1-4 and still have a Pats game to get through.

I'd give them a good chance in the remaining 8 games.
If they can steal a game versus one of those three tough teams, then alliteration aside, they would have a shot....

I think they can beat New England or Baltimore. I'm still not sold on Baltimore.

Look at their 4 wins. Cincy, Miami, Zona, and Pittsburgh ( a game they probably lose if Rudolph doesn't get hurt) so I think Baltimore is their best chance of those 3.

Sure, I would agree with that.

But, Lamar Jackson is such a wild card with his ability to run the ball, that BAL has a punchers chance in every game they play, no matter who the opponent is. Like watching Randall Cunningham play.

I was very impressed of their defense last week against the Eagles.
If it wasn't for a couple turn overs and a special teams play the Eagles score would have been a lot closer...
