What happened to JMac? Not just from before the All Star break to after, but just within that fifth inning. Retire 11 straight, then give up 7 straight hits. That's just weird.

Team is in a very strange state, they seem like they are playing not to lose, instead of to win.

Especially the poor bullpen and poor defense recently.

Seems very typical of the Pirates this year, Barmes made two awful errors, then gets redemption with the grand slam, something in a hollywood script.

Also, Ross Ohlendorf's slider might be one of the worst pitches I've ever seen. He couldn't even get it close enough to the zone for the hitters to take a swing at it. Was consistently at the hitters eye level.
