I look at the standings and just a few games out of the division lead and then I look at near 125-130 games left to play and my heart tells me to BELIEVE.

Then my brain takes over after my eyes scroll the the preview line up or box score that has our #1-9 hitters ( and their pathetic stat line ) and I focus on the Mariners logo and then the despair sinks in ( perennial losers and chokers )

That 8th was awesome, but how many games in a season are you going to win hitting 9 batters in a row all with two outs late in a game and still barely win because you once again got shutout through 7.2 innings?

That is the real story. NOT the miraculous comeback.

This is a really poor hitting and run producing team right now.

Are they capable of better ? yes, but how deep of a hole do they dig themselves into before playing winning baseball?

Trying to catch up with the playoff teams all late summer is a TERRIBLE plan, and management needs to fix it by building a BETTER team.

Spend money and gran an elite player and pay them like the other clubs do that play into October nearly every season. Yea that is how they got there.

Another base running blunder, France doubled up at 2nd - absolute stupidity on the basepaths

MLB odds for scoring runs when you have runners at 2nd and 3rd with NOBODY out = expected runs that inning 1.988

And that is random odds. We had our 1-2 hitter on base and numbers 3-4-5 hitters coming to the plate !!

Mariners record a BIG FAT ZERO runs in the 1st after Julio and France are on 2nd and 3rd with nobody out.

If I am skip I start yanking guys out of a game who do stupid shit. Embarrass them infront of their team and the fans

Few thoughts from the last two games:

1. I regret turning the game off yesterday. In my defense I had been day drinking at Top Golf all day and was already pretty drunk at that point. Pretty sure I passed out right around when the bottom of the 8th was played lol.

2. Bryce Miller looks absolutely incredible so far. 12 innings pitched, 4 hits allowed, 15 Ks, 1 walk, 1 ER allowed. Pretty damn impressive start.
