Might have something in Jeff McNeil. .329/.381/.471 with only 24 strikeouts in 248 PA. Not too far off from what he did in the minors (.311/.380/.443). He had an OPS over 1.000 in AA and AAA (still very good even if it's the PCL). Probably won't sustain the .359 BABIP and maybe power especially given his modest exit velocity and barrels per PA, but the very low strikeout rate is impressive.
Did you know he uses a cone handled bat ju7st like Roberto Clemente?
I had to hear about the God damned thing every time the Braves played the Mets after he was called up.
But yes, He, Nimmo and Conforto look like a solid core to build around.
