I'm still really curious who's taking Gallo

Does it matter? DFA him, get what you can (if that's anything) and be done with it. Him being off your team is more valuable than anything at this point.

Sure they can DFA him and eat the $5M coming to him, but i keep reading that the Yankees are getting inquiries on him, and it boggles my mind.

I'm not as bearish on Gallo as you guys. In fact, I'm calling for him to go yard tonight. Mark it down.

Mets acquired OF Tyler Naquin and LHP Phillip Diehl from the Reds for RHP Jose Acuna and INF/OF Hector Rodriguez.

Naquin posted a .749 OPS in 56 games with the Mets. He should be a platoon option with the Mets over the final two-plus months of the season, getting a chance to play against right-handed pitching while also being a solid option off the bench.

Looks like the Reds will be getting four prospects, including top SS prospect Noelvi Marte (#18 BA pre-2022, #18 per MLB.com's top 100; 60 FV per FanGraphs)

Mariners rotation was already becoming pretty intriguing, now they suddenly have a very solid 1-2 in Castillo/Gilbert.

Mariners, a real organization with initiative.

Twins should be contracted.

ariners acquired RHP Luis Castillo from the Reds for INF Noelvi Marte, INF Edwin Arroyo, RHP Levi Stoudt and RHP Andrew Moore.

The Mariners make the first big move of the deadline, acquiring another ace to join Robbie Ray atop their starting rotation. Some may say that they overpaid in terms of the haul of prospects going back the other way, but that's just the price of business -- especially with multiple teams involved in the bidding. Ultimately, Jerry Dipoto did what he needed to do in order to land the arm that he wanted for the postseason -- and he's under control for the 2023 season as well. The ante for other starting pitchers on the trade market just went up.

Twins need an RP so bad. Trading Taylor Rogers for Paddack was just monumentally awful.

If the Twins had a good closer the Guardians would be done already and the Twins would be cruising to a division title.

I hope Buxton stays totally healthy one year- guy is just unbelievable. Best CF in the game and crazy power. I wonder if Kiriloff will ever get his shit together. I really like his potential a lot. 3 HR this year- in admittedly only 140 ABs is pretty disastrous.

Royce Lewis- what a bad #1 overall pick.

Twins just do not have the ammo to get a guy like Castillo.

I do like Martin a lot---- though his best position is clearly CF which is totally 100% blocked.

You know the Ms rotation is scary when people forget Robbie Ray is the #1.

Kirilloff has hit well since his recall. HIs 1/17 to start with the bum wrist hurt the numbers a bit.

Miranda has been on fire since he started a ghastly 5/54. Like top hitters in baseball type of on fire.

Lewis is really fucking good. Just needs to stop tearing ACLs.

Not worried about future bats. PItching is brutal though. Every year its add guys like Bundy and Archer. Or Matt shoemaker. Or Sidney Ponson back int he day.

And they wonder why the fuck we suck

Dodgers acquired RHP Chris Martin from the Cubs for INF/OF Zach McKinstry.

The deal is now official. Martin, who holds a respectable 4.31 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 40/4 K/BB ratio across 31 1/3 innings (34 appearances) this season, will augment the Dodgers' bullpen depth moving forward. The 36-year-old veteran righty has made 243 career relief appearances in the majors dating back to 2014.

Rays acquired OF David Peralta from the Diamondbacks for C Christian Cerda.

The Rays picked up a much-needed outfield bat Saturday after losing Manuel Margot, Harold Ramirez, and Kevin Keirmaier earlier this year. The 34-year-old lefty has smacked 12 homers across 310 plate appearances for the Diamondbacks this season.
