Welp, first inning, and already TIJUAN-ON Walker can't do anything against Houston.

Better luck next year, guys.

Yeah, Walker off to a shaky start no doubt. I'll see what he does in the 2nd b4 I pass judgement. :D McCullers is not doing that hot either. :thumb:

Walker's biggest issue in the 1st was that everything was up. Once he settles in, he should be fine. I don't expect much in his first few starts, but I still love the signing.

So Mallex Smith could actually play baseball before coming to Seattle? Hmmmm, I never would have guessed that.

The astros announcers are laughing at how bad the astros kicked seattles ass last year.

edit: And its still better than listening to our announcers.

Yeah, but that's only because we don't even TRY to do anything. Might hit something just to show signs of life, but overall, they're the laziest bunch in the league.

No wonder we'll never see a Series.

3 of the 4 runs we've had this season so far are due to HR's. RISP's earlier in the game but DP's put a quick end to that. Can't remember if it was Lewis or Mallick (think it was Lewis) that scored the one non HR run.

The M's may well be the bottom dwellers but I'm just glad we've got baseball back. Everything has been so f'd up so far in 2020 but at least I can get my anger out by ragging on Servais now. :pound: :suds:

After all the punishment the astros got they got rewarded by starting the season at home vs a team they had beat 13 games in a row, now 15. And 2 more games left in the series.

He has looked solid through 2 games with those two homers he is a strong dude with a good looking swing.

I really really hope Lewis and White are the real deal. It seems we have prospect after prospect with all the hype turn out to be complete trash.

Evan White made a really good play reaching over the stands to snag an out. Of course we already know he can play defense hopefully he can handle the bat

I’ve tried looking. Are the Mariners streaming anywhere all the prospects they have playing in Seattle/Tacoma? I keep seeing tweets from Divish talking about well Kelenic is doing but all he has is photo’s. No video like they did during summer camp.

I will still never understand why he isn’t playing over Mallex Smith.

Playing Kelenic this season would be super short sighted and foolish. Why would we start him on this kind of season where A. We aren’t going to win anyways and B why would we start his big league time early when we don’t need to.

As far as streaming games try

A. He was the 2nd, arguably first best OF that they had throughout the summer camp. It is a short season so won’t stunt his growth. Let alone he is a true CF thus making it detrimental to the organization as a whole having Lewis play there.
B. I’m a fan, I don’t care about his service time. Sure, they have to pay him earlier but really what is the difference for a year? They either are going to resign him or not. A year isn’t going to make a difference. And most likely they are going to extend him early like what is going on throughout baseball.

Back to A. What is more detrimental to the developmental of your best prospect. Batting him 9th and getting low pressured AB’s where most of them are going to be against relievers who wouldn’t have made a roster or him taking BP for 3 months?

Thanks, I’ll check it out.
