So watched the top of the 1st, went and flipped some burgers, came back in they had given up 3 errors and 9 runs? Did Cortez suck. BP Shaw was throwing when I finished up.
I am beating the drum and it is illogical by why is White up while Kelenic is still down? Isn’t the logic for keeping Kelenic down the same logic that should be used for White?
Cortez was throwing homerun derby balls and his pitch count was up there, ( kind of like last year when Scotty Boy decided to start a reliever instead of a starter)
How come the starting pitchers are having neck issues? First Graveman now Yousay
These guys give up like 5 or 6 HRs every night. My neck would hurt too if I had to turn my head and watch every HR given up.
See that's the weird part though, both starting pitchers had issues with their necks even before they hit the bump!
Nightmares must be tearing these guys up at night
Some fodder for conversation:
What do the Mariners do with Daniel Vogelbach? I don't know why but I really want the guy to succeed, but I think it might be time to move on. You have to be an exceptional hitter to justify being a DH who can't really play a position and can't run. In his 220 MLB games he's hitting .199/.328/.403 with 36 HRs. He's currently hitting .109 this year. He's 27 years old and at this point I don't really see any progression and it's hard to justify keeping him on the roster.
