Don't give up on Evan. I too have wondered what had changed but I think he'll come back around. He's young but a hell of an athlete and I'm hoping he stays in the mix and is our long term 1st base guy.

Yeah it would be dumb to give on a guy based on their rookie season but man its so uncomfortable watching someone given a 6 year deal struggle so much

Where the hell is Jake Fraley all that hype last year I would have assumed they would bring him up at this point.

Regarding Dunn, I went back and read some articles from when he was in the Mets system and they talked about his live fastball with movement that sat between 92-96. All the games I watch him he sits at 91-92. What happened to the live fastball? And his changeup was sitting at 87. You can't pitch at 91 then changeup at 87. That becomes batting practice. I am miffed at a 22, 23 year old losing 4 mph already.

Ill give him a pass on the last start because i think getting hit by that line drive really affected him. I think the slider is actually something that he really needs to work on as well.

Between him and Sheffield I have seen flashes but nothing consistent enough from either one yet. Hopefully in another month at least one of them emerges.

Finally DFA'd Vogelbach

Honestly thank god besides the fact that he was helping the tank job alot.

But yeah dude literally could not swing the bat and he somehow got even heavier this offseason so it was time to go if he isnt going to take things seriously.

The Angels are only a half a game better then the Mariners.

For the crap we endured about wasting Felix's career, what the Angels are doing to Trouts career is 10x worse if not more. Best player on the planet and a sure fire hall of famer and they've been to the playoffs once and won zero playoff games.

Kyle Seager has been absolutely killing it. I know he changed his nutrition and exercise routine prior to the 2019 season, but man he looks like a different player to me.

His career strikeout rate is 17.4% and he's at 9.6% this year. His career walk rate is 8.4% and he's at 12.3%.

As much as I hate to be an optimist, he really looks like he has figured something out at the plate.

I posted this on the other forum but it's too bad the M's can't play Texas more often cuz it's a GREAT confidence builder for these young guys.

This group of starters are looking to be shaping up damn good. With Gonzo leading the way, we could have a pretty decent group of starters for the 2021 season imo. Need some energy put into the pen though.

This group of starters would be 5 and 6 options on a playoff contending team .
