These guys are professionals and they're making big paychecks - they better stop feeling sorry for themselves and start earning their money.

We've all seen rotten Ranger teams in the past, and most nights they were at least competitive. This team is not so currently...

Me too, and based on the discussion the other night, others on this Board agree as well...

He hated the closer idea and waiting to the very end to bring in your best or having a reliever who came in the 8th and was lights out and you would take him out for the closer in the 9th who may or may not be on his game. He felt you should stick with the hot hand and I always felt the same way.

If you have a consistently winning club (like the A's now, or the Yankees of the recent past with Rivera), heck or even our teams from 2010 - 2012, you can afford that luxury of a designated closer, but not so when you are losing, and especially not when you're losing consistently...

Agree. Kinda like the horse in last place. Knows he has to finish the race but knows he won't win the race. Hope that's not the case but what else are we to think?

We used Baker last night, so we really have no long reliever available...I read where Tepesch would have to fill in, and then we d lose his turn in the rotation..
