He deserves it if the finals mvp was for the best player in the series. Last time i checked, it was for the most valuable player in the winning team.

The question asked was if we thought he could win MVP on a losing team.
My answer was no because historically it just doesn't happen.

The thought of him winning, based on what we've seen in the series is far from outrageous, even though I think Curry has done enough assuming he continues to and the Warriors win.

If the Cavs were to win the series, there would be zero talk of Curry getting it on the losing team.

See that's the thing. Curry has "done enough" but he hasnt been super impressive. Not a knock against him just a testament to how well GS plays as a team and unit

And that's why I for sure wouldn't be outraged ( as you claimed) if James won it.
I just don't see it happening as of now.

ESPN will suck him off regardless.

It is what it is and it isn't going to change anytime soon.

Once the season ends, much of the FA talk will be centered on James actions.

Of course he's opting out, and not leaving, but the Cavs have some big decisions to make and they have to consider James' feelings when making those decisions.

Personally, I don't think he'll win it. Especially if the series ends tonight. However, I wouldn't complain if he did win it. He's put up some phenomenal numbers. His numbers, so far, are actually slightly better than what Jerry West put up when he won it from the losing team in 1969.
