And those guys you just mentioned, most Americans couldn't identify if they were wearing street clothes.

Nor would 99% of people outside of the US if they saw lebron in street clothes

thats not even a serious debate. Of course LeBron is LIGHT YEARS ahead of Kobe basketball IQ wise....

Magic and LeBron are the 2 smartest in the history of the game and its probably really not even close after those 2.

Are you crazy he is huge compared to 99% of the population. He stands out anywhere other than a Bball court.

In Kobe's age 30 season ('08-'09), he played in all 82 games, and averaged 36 minutes a game

In Kobe's age 31 season ('09-'10), he played in 73 games, and averaged 38.8 minutes a night

IN Kobe's age 32 season ('10-'11), he played in all 82 games, and averaged 34 minutes a night

In Kobe's age 33 season ('11-'12), lockout shortened year, he played every game and averaged 38.5 minutes per night

IN Kobe's age 34 season- right before he went in the tank- he played in 78 games and averaged a fucking insane 38.6 minutes a night. He could bring a fucking malpractice suit against his coach that year. LOL

In LeBron's age 30 season he played in 69 of 82 games and averaged 36.1 minutes per night

In LeBron's age 31 season he played in 76 of 82 games and averaged 35.6 minutes per night.

Expect that minutes per night to continue to decrease, because the Cavs arent going to let LeBron's ego, and the fact that he wants to play everyday ruin his body 3-4 years from now.

Not only that- but LeBron will be getting A TON more help in his later years than Kobe got with Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving just now entering their primes- Kyrie really hasnt even entered his prime yet.

The wear and tear Kobe put on his body post age 30 was just INSANE and without a doubt can be tied to his breakdown- also- the fact that guards lose it faster than big men sure does not help- and that Kobe was always the focal point and never took a back seat playing very very hard minutes- while LeBron can just let KI take over at times.

I mean the two opposing blue prints are right in the Cav's face-- Do you want to end up like Kobe or Timmy? Easy program to follow. ESpecially with a monkey off your back and a license to do anything you want!

Seriously. These days, I bet any black dude over six foot three gets mistaken for Lebron James in China.

I would say they get mistaken for a NBA player but no James.

If I was mistaken for Brad Pitt, any semi-tall black dude could get mistaken for Lebron James, gare-on-teed.

Kobe is an all time great- I have him easily my top 10 of all time, and prob higher than most people...

i also acknowledge- an insanely high basketball iq....

but no one has, or does see the court like Magic and LeBron did/do.

Crazy thing about his contract is that Lebron, like any superstar, is actually underpaid.

I gotta disagree with you here. The NBA has become global. Lebron is currently the NBA's top player and he has played in what?...3 Olympics?

I'd say that if he's not the current most recognizable active player...he's in the top 2 or 3.

Is he more recognizable outside of the United States than a top soccer player? Probably not because soccer is still bigger worldwide than basketball. But he's probably the most recognizable active NBA player in the world. MJ and Kobe might be more recognizable worldwide (Kobe practically owns China), but they are no longer active.
