LB Dre Greenlaw out 4-6 weeks, groin surgery

Dre apparently did pull a muscle in the opening game. So now he's having surgery to fix his groin (ouch). He's expected to be out 4-6 weeks.

Azeez Al-Shaair will take over Greenlaw’s every-down role at weakside linebacker, with Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles stepping in at strongside linebacker.

At least we have decent enough depth at LB, this might not be too bad a temporary loss.

We know injuries happen so while it hurts to lose starters, at least its not 'season ending'. He might as well stay out right thru the bye week, cause returning too early might make it worse.

And Mosely, Armstead, Kinlaw and Ford did not practice today. This game could get ugly quick. We were already super thin at LB and Corner, now three of the starting 4 D Lineman will either be out or limited for Sunday..

As long as we don't turn it over, it won't get ugly quick.

We could certainly fall behind and even lose, but it won't get ugly quick without TO's.

With no Corners and no D Linemen I don’t know how you stop anyone. Perhaps the Eagles shoot themselves in the foot a time or two

We're lacking at Corner but not D Linemen.

The 49ers can score too.

The Eagles will need to stop/slow our run game first, can they?.

Yep, hence my prediction in the Niners - Eagles thread of a 37-34 final score. The Eagles should be able to stop the run with Mostert out. Mitchell, other than the 38 yard TD run , didn't do much. He only averaged 3.5 yards per carry.

Really? I don't see it. I see LB depth as a weakness. I think we only have two good LBs on the entire squad
