I guess if you're fine with 10 wins, no division/conference titles and no playoff trips, that's on you. Enjoy the Outback Bowl.
As I said, I expect bigger wins will come once the foundation is there again.

It's been 4.
So you're saying that this year, the foundation has for sure been built? It's year 5, he's replacing nearly every impact defensive player, lost their top defensive recruit left to transfer, still has no identity at RB, and after this year you lose by far the best QB of Harbaugh's tenure, not to mention you could also lose up to 4 offensive line starters after 2019. Not sure I'm seeing it being firmly in place after year 5.

I'd say we have a pretty good foundation to set us up for success in the next 4.

Anything to support this outside of pure speculation?

Also, that's nonsense to say you don't value the win over OSU. It's not just "1 game". It's the season. It's extremely unlikely you win the division without doing this.

I do value a win over OSU for a multitude of reasons, but I don't judge an entire season on one game. IE, I value the fact that Harbaugh has had 3 ten win seasons in 4 years (something Michigan only did 4 times in the previous 15).

And I say we're set up nicely for the next 4 years because of the consistency we've finally had in coaching and recruiting. We finally have depth at most positions and there aren't glaring holes.

There's been a few years here and there but I'd argue most of the time I haven't.

Yes, and I'm saying those years you shouldn't have, probably like this year.

I'd say if it's the difference between winning the division and losing the division, as it has been several times, it's pretty easy to judge the season by it. In a year that was supposed to be the biggest slam dunk for you guys, you responded by giving up the most points in the history of the rivalry. I get that the 10 wins thing is nice, but damn, you're going into year 5 at a true blueblood school.

What consistency in coaching? You just canned your top offensive assistant, lost your most experienced defensive coach, and also lost your talented young LB coach. There are plenty of question marks in the coaching ranks, just as many as at OSU.

I'd call RB a glaring hole. Your first 1000 yard rusher in 6 years is gone, and nobody left is proven at all. Your defensive front 7 is almost all new, as is your DL coach and LB coach.

The biggest slam dunk? Michigan played @MSU, @OSU and @ND last year. It didn't exactly set us up for success. And OSU was once again a top 6 team that won the Rose. Not exactly like we're talking about hitting a mediocre OSU team at the end of the season.

The problem here is perspective. I understand that an OSU fan might not understand our point of view given the fact that since Tressel took over you've only had to watch 3 seasons where your team has won fewer than 10 games. Once your program folds completely, it's hard to dig out of that; blue blood or not. If you want examples, look no further than USC, Texas, Tennessee, Florida, and even ND; who after 7 years of Kelly only won 4 games in a season.

So, yeah. After watching my team lose to App State, Toledo, have multiple bowl-less seasons and hire a buffoon like Hoke; yeah....I'm happy with 4 pretty darn good seasons and am excited about the roster we're finally able to build on.

Oh blah-blah-blah. You said last year Yer Boyz were set up for success after that SEC qb transfered to ann arbor. How did that work out? You said 2 years ago JH was set up for success. How did that work out? You said 3 years ago Yer Boyz were set up for success. How did that work out? Do you even notice your own pattern of being overly homeristic?

The funny thing is every year you have new excuses when your team falls short of expecations. Keep up the good work. And if they fall short of expecations yet again it'll be interesting to see what gibberish you think up.

You guys were favored in Columbus last year. You were looking dominant outside of the ND game and we looked like we had huge defensive issues that you were going to be able to expose, while your defense was being touted as one of the top ones in the nation. That's what I meant by that.

Sure, perspective is one thing. That said, you guys still have what, 1 top 10 win in 4 years since Harbaugh has been here? And to be honest, I'm not seeing things going that great for you guys this year. The offense is still largely an unknown, and the defense has been largely gutted. You rip OSU's hiring of Day, but I wouldn't trade places with michigan this year for anything.

I think they were favored in every game last season. As they are this upcoming season, at least at the moment. If they don't get the division this year they never will. And I still don't think they will.

ND has also been to a title game, and cfp under Kelly. Harbaugh has never won a division at the fbs level.

Love how MnB calls Day a "high school coach" in one breath and then brags about how Gattis is going to transform their offense somehow in another.

Never thought of that. I don't even think Gattis has ever called plays? But you're right, Day is gonna suck because OSU and Gattis is gonna be amazing because Michigan.

Sure but Kelly has won fewer than 10 games 5/9 seasons at ND. And was blown out both times ND squeaked in because of a weak regular season schedule. I can tell you one thing, I don’t think Harbaugh is ever going to miss a bowl at Michigan.

Our SOS was 20 last year and 13 in 2012 according to Colley. Also, it's not our fault a team like Oregon lost to a team we beat and KSU lost to a 5 loss team.

And I'm fine with missing a bowl game once if it means the chance to play for a championship twice.

Then I'll ask again. Could he have kicked kids off the team? Fired staff? Awarded scholarships? Offered recruits? If the answer is no, then he wasn't head coach. Just because he stood in to call plays while Urban was suspended doesn't make him a head coach and incorporate everything that goes along with being one. He was already the OC. So he probably continued to call the offensive plays and whoever was OSU's DC at the time likely took total control over defensive play calling. Awarding him head coaching wins for that is ridiculous; and I'd say that for any temporary head coach who wasn't filling in for someone during a suspension. If Uban is still there, he's head coach. If he got fired, then we can have a different discussion. Urban was even allowed to meet with the team and coaches prior to his suspension - come on.

Probably, yes. An he was the one making in game decisions. You are dead wrong on this and your only reason is because he couldn’t fire staff or offer a scholly? Come on man

He wasn't head coach because he had absolutely no responsibilities a head coach has, that's literally the point. You can't say, "he's the head coach and all those head coaching thing you listed don't matter". Urban had meetings with his staff and players prior to the suspension and literally told them what to do, then they executed. Day had no decision making in the entire process and wasn't in control of anything. How can you argue he was the head coach? What, exactly, what he responsible for?
