I am not a hockey fan, but I do enjoy watching playoff hockey. It is pretty exciting. Looking forward to the conclusion of what is developing into an awesome series.

That said, the mere presence of this thread more or less proves that the title statement isn't true. There isn't anybody talking about hockey on the basketball threads.

Its an opinion so it is unprovable so the statement is not correct. Its not automatically incorrect either.

Hockey fans at times can be an insecure bunch - at least a lot of them, instead of just enjoying the game they need to constantly need to compare it to and put down other sports.

You know, I'm really sick of people tearing Lebron down. I hate how he left Cleveland (and I'm from Pittsburgh). It was a tool move, the show was silly, etc. BUT, do you ever hear about him being a jerk? Saying something stupid? Getting arrested? No. The guy has won two championships, been in FOUR finals, has two MVPs, and is arguably going into the prime of his career now. But...he hasn't won five like Kobe, or six like Jordan. So, he's not elite. Crikey. At least he's not an ass like those two are. And I highly doubt he'll decide to "retire" after he wins a few.

Damn Kenny that reminds me of the NBA player they took off the court about three or four years ago in a wheel chair with a separated should!! There is not a hockey player on the planet that would let that happen. At least not that I can think of.
