I'm a Lakers and Kobe homer so the choice is easy for me.

The record could always be broken again but Kobe aint ever coming back.

But admittedly I would pick the GSW game if I wasn't a Lakers fan.

Maybe they will give away Kobe bobbleheads. (pretty brutal likenesses)

Kobe has been given the good bye treatment for all 82 games this year. Golden State only gets 1 game to break the record.

I take GS.

You think they could have started one of the games 2 hours before the other...

I was thinking the same thing. But the schedule was released long before Kobe announced his retirement and I don't think anyone thought the Warriors would be breaking the record.

I feel like they could have recognized this a couple months ago and just moved the Warriors game to 5:30 pacific. I don't know the policy on changing schedules but that seems totally doable. They do it in the NFL all the time for Sunday night games.

Cool thing Draymond Green is doing. He's giving 3 court side tickets to tonight's game to underprivileged kids to witness history. Just don't lose lol.

I completely agree. Although I would change the Lakers game to 5:30 pacific just so I wouldn't have to wait till 3:30am over here to watch Kobe's last game :D

I saw an article earlier that I just skimmed over so I don't know all of the details. It seems that originally, Kobe's last game was scheduled to be shown on ESPN and the GSW game wasn't going to be televised nationally. Both games were already set for 7:30pm PST

Since GSW has a shot at the record, their game is now being televised on ESPN and the Lakers game was moved to ESPN2. I'd think that the reason the time wasn't changed was because it was too late by the time they knew GSW was going to be playing to break the record.

Kobe Bryant all night bitches!!! One of the all time greats and I don't care for everything he did off the court but when it comes to on the court he was very entertaining to watch and one of the best at his position. Go Lakers!!!
