CONGRATULATIONS to ALL USC fans and Alumni for moving your program forward. All I know is one of the PREMIER coaching jobs in the country just opened up and ANY perspective coach WILL BE salivating @ the chance to coach such a storied program. IF I were Hayden I would take my time in choosing the very best for his school in a new coach. USC ALWAYS gets top recruits from their home area, I see nothing changing there especially with a new HC coming in.

Petersen from Boise would be my choice in the end.

I do feel bad for USC fans. Im sure the administration there thought they were doing the right thing by giving Kiffin plenty of time to develop his own program, but to be honest it looked like a waste of time at least a season ago.

He ruined any chance he had at inflating footballs for a team last year, so my guess is Daddy gets him a job somewhere as an assistant or an assistants assistant. I hear New Mexico state is looking for a coach.

I think Chip Kelly will last at least 2 more seasons in the NFL. Just because the Chiefs stymied his offense doesn't mean anything.

His offense still works, just not as well as it did at Oregon. Given time to get the players he needs I believe his offense will get better and better. The catch is that you need a good defense as well because the offense doesn't stay on the field very long.

His offense has worked for literally ONE HALF of a game. I think it's going to take most of the season before the players really get it down. Near week 10 they should be hitting on all cylinders assuming no major injuries, but right now, it's not working all that well.

If USC hurries I bet they can get Bill Callahan to bring in a playbook that will not only baffle opposing defense but also his own players.

Takes some credit away from ASU.. They played their asses off on offense. Tied the record against a USC. Defense.

Also reported that Kiffin left his bags on the bus thinking this was just a normal talk.

The AD clearly targeted a defenseless coach with a big hit to the head. He should not be able to hire a new coach until halftime of their next game.

OK, fine, he decommitted because you lost to ASU......whatever floats your boat.

Point is, you are LOSING recruits, so I'm not sold this firing is going to help.

It's going to be interesting to see the candidate list. I mean Pete Carroll was like 5th on the list when he was hired. It's going to be very interesting to see who actually interviews with USC......

I agree....kiffin couldn't get it done on field but he was one of the best recruiter...pretty sure this past year they had a top 15 class. do the current USC targets for 2014 completely bail with kiffin out of loop? uncertainty who the head coach will even be? I don't want to see current assistant orgeron leave. hes also a great recruiter.. maybe a chance he gets job not sure.
