I can't see him playing any point. I think the only reason he's considered a combo guard is his size. If the Lakers think they need a PG after a (supposed) Russell trade, they can always pursue Conley, Deron, or Jennings in FA.

Uh, did you watch any games the past 2 seasons? He played point quite a bit. In fact, when he and Russell were in the game together, they shared point guard duties.

I wouldn't mind them going after Conley or Jennings (assuming a Russell trade), but wouldn't even consider Deron Williams. Randle would be a better PG than him. lol

I would not trade Russell for Hield. He can shoot but that seems to be about it. Russell can shoot and more.

If they are trading down, they need to get a player to go along with the pick.

Interesting. Doesn't necessarily mean that he'll be a Laker, his wife may have decided that Cleveland winters are bullshit and they're setting things up for when Lebron retires (he sems like he's interested in movies, etc.).

Who knows though. As you said, the first hint of him returning to the Cavs was him enrolling his kids in Cleveland schools.
