Lakers need to hit some shots. Shooting 35% isn't going to win many games. Plus, it's a whole lot easier to play defense when the opponent actually has to take the ball out of bounds.

Yea and the Ws are shooting nearly 70% going into the second half.

It is sort of silly for Scott to demand that the Lakers shoot less threes when a team like the Ws are just killing us with threes. You either have to match wits or play defense and right now our ones are doing neither.
