Hey.. We have never been detained. LOL

You should come to some sports bars here in Cali where we've got transplants galore. Watching Packers and Vikings fans go at each other after swilling a few quarts of beer and other hard liquor is quite a sight to behold.

Exactly. But will any team give him that chance? If there's anything to the DV allegations, he may be SOL with most teams not named the Raiders and Cowboys.

If he's cleared on the murder charge, he won't have any problems getting a job...the DV issue will get him into some type of program, but teams will take a chance on a top 20 talent for UDFA $.

. . . why shouldn't we? I understand the issue of off-field concerns. Even if he does have them, he's definitely worth the risk. And I'd hate to see a division rival snatch him up when we've still got needs at our o-line.

I have no idea what exactly this means. Apparently the agent was bypassed or something I think.

I'm with you..........imagine this guy here, our current starters (except Williams) would be trade bait, backups or told "coach wants to see you.........bring your play book!"

Two things I will say.

1. SO far Scot has not telegraphed a single move he has made. At best there was speculation that we SHOULD consider drafting Scherff. But aside from Rob Range, Skinsdad and one or two others I cant seem to recall at the moment. No one thought there was a chance we would draft Scherff at #5.

2. While from a talent stand point I think we should go after the guy, we have got to trust our GM as most of us have been preaching.

Bottom line is, we wont know if the Skins are going after him until he is actually signed.

Would be nice to offer him an opportunity to make this team and start at RT along side Scherff. Left side could be Williams and AK with Lichtensteiger at Center. Would be improved I must say.

Good point about Scot NOT tipping his hand. One interesting thing not mentioned here yet is the emphasis Scot places(Ed) on players coming out of the SEC. La'el is from the SEC. Guess we'll know when we know, but if the previous character evaluation showed no flags for him, wouldn't surprise me at all if Scot is working har behind the scenes.
