A second round tender. Would anyone be interested in making an offer?

That's kind of surprising, unless they're hoping someone else will just negotiate the deal for them and they will match. I haven't followed Webb closely, but everything I've read indicates he's a top-10 CB (maybe top-5?) and only getting better.

And yes, I would seriously consider using the 62nd pick to get a franchise CB. Though the contract might be tough to work out.

Ravens have tendered CB Lardarius Webb at 1st round level and CB Cary Williams at 2nd round level #freeagency

No. He'll be an URFA pretty soon, and if the Niners are going to spend a draft pick AND sign a big contract it should be for Wallace.

Yeah, ok, that makes a lot more sense.

Fuck that! He doesn't look good in Urrple anyways. :pops:

And I'd still use our first rounder on him. Who are we gonna get at 30 better than him? The guy is already one of the best CBs in the league and he's only 25.

The real question is who are we gonna get at 30 whose sum, combined with an URFA like Rogers, is better than Webb. Webb's gonna require a big new contract.

I'm also a bit wary of going all out for a CB who plays on a team with a pass rush like the Ravens (which is the same reason I thought Brooks was more vital than Rogers to the Niners).

I'll take a proven guy in Webb over an unknown at 30.

And I guess that means he'll be even better playing with the 49ers' pass rush. :fear:

I might be showing my ignorance, but I didn't realize that Webb was THAT good. Granted I don't watch many Raven games.
