What do you do with Arihara?

I agree. We have a solid 9 SP and 5 spots to fill
We have 5 “semi-solid” bats but 9 spots to fill
I think we need to get 3 bats via FA this offseason

I count 12 right now that are going to be at ST vying for a starting spot in Alexis, Allard, Arihara, Burke, Dunning, Hearn, Howard, Otto, Y. Rodtiquez, Winn, Henriquez & Bradford. And that doesn’t count several I’be probably missed and possibly 1 or 2 FA’s

Man that’s nasty. Just replacing Lyles and Folty with avg pitchers next year and adding a couple solid bats should make us much more productive and fun to watch

How about replacing them with 1 quality pitcher and going with our prospects plus we will still have Arihara. Add some one like Story and maybe Canha bring up Huff and Jung. I wouldn’t complain.

That depends on if he builds up any trade value over the next 4 weeks. If so then trade him, if not he would go to the pen unless he is optionable.

So glad Hearn is doing good.
he was a guy I was rooting for before the season started to come in and pitch 2-3 innings in relief the first half and then be moved to the rotation once we traded Lyles.
we didn’t trade Lyles but we did trade Gibson which opened up a spot for him.

Yeah, he’s been very bad.. 24 starts between majors and AAA with an ERA of about 7.00
Not sure we even bring him back on a minors contract with the depth we have..

Yeah, I think he will be an easy cut when we have to get down to 40 in about 3 months. Maybe, Palumbo too.
