2006 Kobe to 2019 Lebron

Kobe was 27 years old. He had played for that same (hall of fame greatest coach) organization for 10 years.
The team had been the finals in 3 of the previous 5 seasons and had a winning culture at the time even if a poor roster.
They made the playoffs as a 7 seed and lost in the first round.

Lebron is 34. This is his first year with a brand new team.
The team has missed the playoffs all 5 previous years and has a hesitant culture at best regardless of roster.
They might still make or miss the playoffs, probably a 7/8 seed if they do and will lose in the first round.

27 year old Lebron would have carried this group easily to the playoffs.
What the fuck was Kobe doing at age 34 with a similar weak roster.
