No, what you do in practice , you do in the game.

Robinson, is pretty much a lost soul on court for the most part. Pts he gets are garbage put backs. Thibs offers nothing to incorporate him in the offense.
Yes, what you do in practice, you try to do in a game; that does not make practice a game.
Maybe Robinson hasn't been able to produce in practice and hence they don't incorporate him in the offense. Just as always, you have no idea.

You know Brown never incorporated Ben Wallace in the offense, all his point sere on garbage puts backs as well. That worked out pretty well. Same for Rodman his whole career.

That isn’t Thibs job actually. Because like I have told you multiple times, NBA teams have very little on court practice time during the season.

Every team has a player development staff who are in charge of individual skill development plans and working with players on those types of things.

The coaching staff is responsible for big picture team concepts. The two pieces absolutely work together, but they are very different jobs.

Ever consider that maybe Robinson doesn't have the skills or the smarts? Its his 3rd year and its not like his numbers have gone down under Thibs. The dude didn't even play college ball. Its easy to look great in high school when you're 7 foot, but that doesn't mean you'll be great in an NBA offense.

Yeah. His skill set right now is athlete.

I like the Tyson Chandler comp. That should be the hope and really that is all Knicks fan should want him to be. Cant really play through the post anymore unless your big has a perimeter skill set.

But he would magically blossom if just Thibs would run plays for the 5th offensive option on the floor.

Want to see some bad offense?

Run it through Robinson and see what happens.

You guys really are nuts!!!

My first post about Robinson in this thread was that I could not believe this guy was NBA material! It was you clowns who said he will be a good NBA player.

You guys have no shame!

If you can't believe he is NBA material why would you go on repeatedly complaining that Thibs is not running plays for him?

And you think we're nuts!?

And I've never even posted about Robinson before to say anything about the quality of player he is.

No, he won’t.

Because bigs who are athletic enough to defend in space and protect the rim provide value even if they do nothing offensively.

That is why most people thought he could be good. Defensive value. Any offense is a bonus. Not an expectation.

Set a pick for him to do what?

A player like Robinson is best used as a screener.
