Nah, they practice in a very nice neighborhood in Westchester and the security at the Garden is very tight. None of the guys on the team need to live near the arena so it's a non factor.

They got saved because a guy named Henrik Lundquist, who was drafted as a 17 year old before Sather took over by Don Maloney, turned out to be the real deal. The 2004-2005 strike also allowed them to shed some bad contracts Sather had stacked up. Even after that Lundquist was basically the whole team. When Henrik took them to the cup finals their lead scorer was Zuccarello with 58 points. Just 2 years ago Dolan pulled some shit and John Davidson who amassed the young talent they have now left.
