I disagree. He was getting too cute. Clowney was clearly a better prospect than Mack IMO. The fact that he got injured his rookie year doesn't change the fact that the dude was a monster.

So would I, but I wouldn't want either one. Winston is Josh Freeman 2.0 IMO, and Mariota is Kaepernick 2.0.

True, but don't you agree they would of been better served giving up on him long ago? Some things become apparent very early and only those vested deny them.

I gave up on Bradford in college (I called him Bustford before the 2010 draft). So I'd have to say yes to your question. But Clowney was absolutely unblockable, and he was the consensus #1 prospect in the draft. A year after the 2006 draft people were saying the Texans should've taken Reggie Bush over Mario Williams (I said they were all high though). You don't give up on a monster DL unless he's been on the field & not playing well.

However, microfracture surgery is scary. That injury has ruined many careers. He might be the Ki-Jana Carter of DL. And if that's the case, nobody could've seen that coming.

But he's not the pass rusher people thought he'd be. A great 4-3 OLB isn't as valuable a piece as a guy who can get after the QB. A guy who can do both (Von Miller) is rare.

I felt like I was the only one hoping Texans didnt pick Clowney. Forgot Mayock didnt think he was number one guy either.

McShay owns them all. Especially when you factor in the stories about him partying and such. My favorite is he apparently partied all night, was hungover the next day and was going to miss his flight if he took the time to return his rental car. So he just abandoned his rental car in a lot with a note that said "please return to National". Baller move right there.

So he's another playboy? Just great. I hate them all.
