I wonder if Bany is giving Fielder a rest or is he seeing the light. Don't want to see Profar DH'ing very often. If Prince sits a while it will not hurt the team but Profar needs to be playing somewhere.

There's really no where else to play him though, unless they start rotating people through the DH spot

I know and don't like that much. Profar is really blocked unless Elvis is traded and that is not likely to happen soon so AAA is best for Profar as I see it at this time. Damn I like him leading off.

That Shields trade was interesting. SD paying half the cost there. It can be done.

Shields has a lot more value than prince. Elvis on the other hand may have some very appealing value to other teams.

Andrus is having a solid year, might be time to strike and dump that contract

I have a hard time believing they'll dump him mid season. Could have effects on team chemistry. Plus I also think it would be wise to see if Profar can stay healthy for a whole year.

Admittedly it would be a hard trade to pull a trigger on, whenever JD feels compelled to do it.

I was speaking more in terms of this offseason

JProfar playing SS or 2B consistently is not best for him but having hi up here getting 5 starts a week at least is best for Rangers. He is best lead off guy in system MLB ready and if he can get consistent time then good. I am thinking with players coming into place including Gallo later we are getting poised for a deep playoff run. This team can be very dangerous esp if SP and a pen they can pitch in fall is ready. I am ready for a WS championship. It's time. If you cant contribute to that get out of the way

Also Banny did move Prince out of 3 spot and now he is going to rest him. These are calculated moves based upon investment

Looks, like a decline in bat speed for Prince

I believe several of us have commented that we felt a decline in bat speed was likely the partial culprit.

The fact than Hanser was sent down says something about how long Profar will be here. Here is how Jamey Newberg put it.

since Alberto cannot return to the Rangers for 10 days (unless it's to replace an injured player), Profar isn't just here until Shin-Soo Choo is activated. Unless Texas views Ian Desmond as the backup shortstop -- which I doubt -- Profar is here for a while.

The last time his bat speed declined it was in conjunction with his neck injury. I wonder if that is an issue again or if it is just time for him to go downhill quickly.

I'm still very suspect that his neck had become an issue again.
