4 players who can produce 300 puts a season combined...
And only one who has ever pursued a player into his own zone

He's no Anisimov.Yep, that Sidney Crosby is always floating around centre ice looking for breakaway passes and not working hard pursuing the puck

Yeah but who cares about what he does in the corners when he's giving you 35 goals?I believe 43 was referring to the big fella

Still not nearly enough return for Kessel with the Leafs eating salary. Not at fucking all. How Maatta or Pouliot wasn't included is mind boggling.Hey, no complaints. Sid/Geno haven't had this caliber of a winger since Hossa was here.. which feels like ages ago. Harrington is a future 2nd pairing guy, I believe. And Kapanen almost made the team in his rookie season, and got pushed out in the numbers crunch. Those two guys, IMHO... will help Toronto in the future. Obviously, they need experience and all, but both project as long term NHL'ers.

It's not about winning, it's about getting the best return and this isn't close to a return of fair value. You never win this trade when the best player leaves your team. I saw it with Jagr firsthand. Even though that was a completely different situation, but still... you never win that trade when the best player goes the other way. Even with a Maatta or a Pouliot, you still don't win that trade.

But that's the thing - there's no fucking reason he needed to be urgently offloaded.Well,... you have to wonder what the remaining offers were on the table. Who was dealing from the position of strength? How badly did MLSE want to unload him?
Tyler Biggs and Tim Erixon went to Pittsburgh.
