There's too much talent to be much lower than where they are ranked.

There's a pretty clear first tier this year and I don't think UK is in it, but they'll likely be in the 2nd tier by the end of the year.

At least this team has some fight in them.

Oh, I agree. We haven't even played 10 games. One of the biggest problems with the one and done is these early season losses to teams we don't customarily lose to happen. All part of the learning/growing/team building process.

My biggest concern is our defense has gotten negligibly better. That isn't something you need a 5 or 4* on Rivals next to your name on Rivals to play. It's effort. Our best team's with Calipari have had defense as their hallmark. Thus far, this is probably the 2nd worst defensively we've had with him. Offensively, well, it needs work but they are getting buckets. That'll take care of itself by March.

All in all, this isn't football. Losses in March are what matter. Take our lumps now. If we look like today in February, then I'll be flippin my shit

We're way overranked. Ive been saying that to our fans for a month. Our defense is just nowhere close to acceptable. Its December, not March. Offense isnt really a problem, so I'm not gonna flip out over this stuff like some fans until the stretch run in February.

Those impact freshman just aren't there like they normally are for UK. Outside of Johnson that is. I also don't think a normal UK team would have a guy like Herro playing the minutes he is. I think we forgot that last year's UK team wasn't a top 20 until literally the last week of the regular season and conference tournament. They could go into SEC play with 4 losses and no good wins. I can't remember who they get in the SEC/Big 12 challenge but that'll be important for OOC purposes.

We've got Kansas @ Rupp Arena this year. Better get our shit together by then. Our next 3 games are Utah, North Carolina, and Louisville. lol Gonna be some chapped asses around Lexington I'm afraid come January 1st.
