Kenny Britt - WR - Titans

The Nashville Tennessean is "sure" the Titans would listen to trade offers for Kenny Britt, but is "skeptical" they could get a meaningful return.

Coming off a lost 2012 and off to a disastrous start, Britt wouldn't fetch more than a day-three pick, and likely a low-end one at that. In other words, it might not even be worth it for Tennessee to sell low on its former No. 1 receiver, even in a walk year. The Lions, 49ers, Patriots, Ravens, Eagles and Panthers are just a few of the teams with a big-time need at receiver, however, so it would be far from surprising if someone eventually took the plunge.

No doubt. But over and over again Nate Washington has been the basic reason we win games. Without him today, we have no chance.

Kenny Britt never got back on the field after that drop. My guess is that he's on the market right now.

I understand the Britt injury/character concerns, but is there more about him that frustrates Titans fans? Maybe I'm naive but I feel like a few times a year he just takes over a game. Is that not correct? Or is it the inconsistency? I admittedly don't see much of his team, so I'm sure I don't have the whole story.

Tennessee fielding offers for WR Kenny Britt and open to trading him, per sources. Team said it's not actively shopping him.

Kenny Britt - WR - Titans

Following Sunday's Week 5 loss to the Chiefs, Titans OC Dowell Loggains had sharp criticism for Kenny Britt.

Working as the No. 3 wideout, Britt had one catch for nine yards. "We're gonna have to reassess everything at this point. We'll evaluate after we watch the tape," Loggains said. "Obviously, I'm not gonna hide anything. He had probably three drops in the game." Loggains was asked if Britt's potential is starting to dry up. "Potential just means you haven't done anything," he responded. Britt is on thin ice in Tennessee and is certainly a trade candidate ahead of the Oct. 29 deadline. It sounds like the Titans will take whatever they can get.

Kenny Britt - WR - Titans

Speaking Monday, Titans coach Mike Munchak said Kenny Britt's playing time will be reduced going forward, but that he won't be a weekly inactive because "the only way for him to get out of his slump is to play through it."

Britt has been one of the very worst players in the NFL this season, so the Titans don't have much choice. Britt simply hasn't been the same since his 2011 ACL tear. Perhaps a change of scenery would jump-start his career, but it's far from a guarantee.

Please please trade for him!

Anquan, Crabtree, Britt, Baldwin, Williams.

Awesome! Gives us leverage on Anquan and Crabtree, if those guys want to walk let 'em walk.

If I'm the Steelers, I pull the trigger for a 6th rounder

Baldwin > Britt at this point. About the same potential for production; Britt just brings 10 times more baggage.

You really think so? Baldwin is on par with Britt talent wise? I don't think so. I like Baldwin A LOT! But I think Britt, minus the baggage, is a better pure talent.

Talent wise? No. Britt is a bit more talented (although I was extremely critical of both of them in the draft process). But talent does not always = production, and I think you could expect about the same production from both of them if you put 'em on a random team. Britt might bring slightly more, but he brings 10 times the baggage. I don't think he would help the 49ers at all.

Sources tell CBS that the Titans have been attempting to get a third-round draft pick for Kenny Britt.
Predictably, potential suitors are scoffing at that asking price. Britt has been among the league's worst wideouts when on the field, has a long history of off-field issues and his contract is up after this season. Jason La Canfora says something like a fifth-round pick is more realistic. The Titans, who have sharply reduced Britt's role, could very well end up accepting that meager return around the Oct. 29 trade deadline. The Lions, 49ers and Patriots are candidates to take a flier.
