Colin, if you are reading this.....I hope you find inner peace and can continue being a hero to all of us here on the hoop....
And that's my point. His game wasn't good enough. If it was, they'd overlook his kneeling for a song.I think the difference would be which player is still capable of selling tickets. Like I said before - it is a business. My comparison would be Kobe Bryant - accused of r*pe, but wasn't drummed out - that's because he is game was that good. We have to be realistic here - Colin wasn't that good any more - hence the drama to cover up his inadequacies as a man
Or they didn't want to spend a ton of time in courtrooms for the next year or longer and figured the amount he wanted was a pimple to 32 billionaires (or near billionaires). That's what I am thinking. Same for what TLF said.
The NFL would not have caved in if there wasn't some pretty damning evidence that supported Kap's position.
It's not how they have done business during the Goodell Era.
Yup, but the players don’t have that kind of money. The players would get cleaned out by their own lawyers long before the case got a judgement in court and they could/would likely lose. Getting back lawyer fees probably felt like a win, certainly a relief. Just saw top lawyers get $2000.00 a hour for these kind of cases. One week of work ( 40 hours) is $80,000 plus cost of miscellaneous things that can be expensive as heck.$60-$80 million buys a lot of legal beagles....
I absolutely agree and said the same thing - but you know he was playing the race card in his own wayAnd that's my point. His game wasn't good enough. If it was, they'd overlook his kneeling for a song.
Happens all the time Hank. Cheaper to buy off these nuisance cases then to pay the lawyers to win it.If the NFL had a pat hand they would not have settled.
I agree - My thought is that both sides had something to lose, something to hide and every reason to settle and seal the agreement from the publicIf the NFL had a pat hand they would not have settled.

So this was just a nuisance case??? I don't believe it was.
NFL WOULD NEVER settle if they thought they would win.
But the player would? You know the only winners with these lawsuits are the lawyers, these cases drag on for years with the lawyers charging what, $500 or $1000 per hour ?

Very sarcastic.....He's making extortion great again......I hope you're being sarcastic with this post. Because this is my retort if it's not...
If your hero Kap had a pat hand he wouldn't have sttled.
