I think he is lying

Why would he lie about that? If they granted it to him, we would all know the details. Doesn't make sense to publicly state demands that are less than your real demands, especially this far in to the game.

No permission needed. Hate away Wiz. I'm not happy about it, more like disappointed this happened. Seahawks will be fine either way. I really like what I'm seeing from this defense.

The way the defense is built this year we're going to rely HEAVILY on the pass rush. One of the thing we should notice since last season is that teams have a way around this defense and that is playing short dumps and screen passes. Kam Chancellor commands respect down the middle of the field and with him missing, this is where it's going to hurt us the most... But as I said, this defense is built on the pass rush and if we just boggle down the QB's we will be fine.

Time will tell how much his selfish actions is going to hurt this team.

If he's not lying, the Seahawks front office is extremely petty and I will not blame him for taking the holdout all the way until week 10

They are not petty, they stated numerous times that they do not want to set a precedence with players having more than 1 year left on their contract.

Don't see the big deal in what Kam is requesting. He's not requesting additional money

So how you feel about this boogie? Not sure myself.

I"m clueless on how Seattle would restructure that ... So basically no new money, but giving him money upfront from the final year of his deal for next season... I have no idea how that will affect the cap or the remaining year of his deal... So does that mean he play's for practically nothing the final year of his deal ?

His salary would increase massively for next season though... That matters... Then of course he would hold out for a new deal the final year of his contract...

He is requesting more guarantees for 2016 and 2017 because his current contract does not offer anymore guarantees. This is the bullet point for his holdout.

Both sides are stubborn and this is a lose-lose for everyone, only difference is that the Seahawks has a bit more leverage.

He's essentially asking for an advance on his 2017 money to be paid in 2016. So he really is asking for a raise in 2016 and then what guarantee would the Seahawks have that once he got what he wanted that he couldn't just pull the same stunt again before 2017? Plus, it really does effect the teams salary cap in 2016.

I find it ironic too that Kam thinks the Seahawks are being "petty" over a million dollars or less. IF IT'S SUCH A SMALL AMOUNT KAM THEN FORGET IT AND DO YOUR FUCKING JOB!.

It shouldn't have happened to begin with as he gave the Hawks no warning whatsoever. It is an ill-advised holdout and he has a lot of pride to cave. But he will, I believe it has started.

The Seahawks know this will be another issue on the final year of Kam's deal .... If they front load money from the final year of his deal for the 2016 season, Kam will then want another contact before his final year is up ... I feel like Kam's agent is behind a lot of this, he's trying to play the Seahawks... John and Pete aren't taking the bait ...

The wall is starting to come down.. he's cracking.

Kam Chancellor: I’m not asking for much, Seahawks should do it

He'll be back week 2.

So he says "meet me half way" on a million dollars or less? So let's call it $500k he wants. He already is going to miss one game check that not even the Hawks can do anything about and that will cost him roughly $267k. That means what he's sooooooo pissed about is $233k in extra money?!? Once he pays his agent and pays taxes he'll be lucky to buy a used Nissan Sentra with what's left. And all that assumes that the Seahawks are going to waive his $1M+ in team fines that he has already accrued.

All this time lost, pissed off fans, bad team chemistry, bad press, for what amounts to about $233k. What a shame.

Kam is caving is what it is. He was stated as saying " i want Earl Thomas type money" earlier in his hold out. Kam is crumbling. if i was Kam i would fire my agent after this for the extremely bad and STUPID advice he was given.

It just doesn't make any sense for him to continue holding out at this point. But yeah, "halfway" would mean somewhere between 500-600k more for 2016. The game check (267k) and the fines he's racking up already exceeded that amount. This is why I think he will be back Week 2.

He's either very stupid or completely ill-advised.
