Wilson is the most over rated QB in the game. Put him on a team with an average defense and running back and he would be garbage. I said it so its true.

If Wilson's overrated, that how does Kaepernick do on a team with dominant ground game and top ranked defense?

oh.......wait.

Guy hasn't even played one entire season yet. Already flashed in the pan?

:laugh3:

I am sure its all Kaepernick though, probably has nothing to do with spotty performances by the o line this year, the absence of Michael crabtree, other injuries, or the play calling. Its clearly all on Kaepernick huh?

And Tom Brady sucks too. Look at his up and down performances this year. Its all him. Has nothing to do with injured WR's or offensive line struggles. that guy is just a deer in the headlights now.

LOL, Sonny is obsessed with the 49ers QB. Crush?

You have heard of Tim Tebow, Matt Cassel, Frank Riech, etc, etc haven't you? you could google them

Alex Smith is looking like pure gold right about now.

From the world's #1 authority on everything Alex Smith: I promise you it's fool's gold. Alex Smith is the WORST kind of QB you can have. JUST good enough to keep you from looking for a replacement too hard. He's always going to be low YPA, throw to the check downs, predictable passes with low INTs as the one up side.

I have NEVER been a big Kaepernick fan. Directly after the Super Bowl I said I would trade him for Joe Flacco (and I caught hell for it). I always said he was overrated because of a great OL / running game & good receivers (last year). But as certainly as Jim Harbaugh will always be thinner than Andy Reid: Colin Kaepernick is a better QB than Alex Smith.

And that's a fact Jack.

I would take Alex at this point. We would be no less than 8-2 with Smith, rather then Kaepernick. I also think that with Alex, the Niners would have had a better chance at beating the Seahawks. Alex was better suited to quarterback this team.

Going with the theme of this thread I would gladly take Wilson on my team. Kaepernick not so much. I thought last year was his flash in the pan, and I didn't like him much either. I thought oh great another running quarterback who is the "future of the league." This year we've seen the true Kaepernick. The book is out on him and he hasn't been able to adjust at all.

Injuries are never an excuse. Every team has to deal with them and adapt. Great teams and great quarterbacks are able to adjust accordingly, and Kaepernick hasn't been able to do it. He has continued to regress every game and has looked far from impressive since week 1.

Kraepernick was indeed a flash in the pan and they were foolish to get rid of Smith.

Guess now they're stuck with their choice.

Excuse me. The vikings picked Christian Ponder with the 12th overall pick.... isn't that correct.

Yeah, time to sit your ass down and shut the fuck up you clown. If Kaepernick was a flash in the pan, at least he flashed. Ponder is pure garbage from the moment he started to now. And you guys blew a 12th overall pick on him. Viking fans should really learn to be quiet. Your team is an embarrassment. Let the fans of the teams that are in contention talk please, and stop embarrassing yourself.

With 6 TD's and 9 Int's by Ponder I can't believe you guys are only 2-8. :laugh3:

He wasn't able to adjust at all.... So I guess after the two game losing streak early in the season he didn't adjust at all and go on a five game win streak scoring more than 30 points in each game?

Yeah, remember the NFC Championship game in 2012, Smith had 3 yards passing to a WR. His leading receiver was Frank Gore. If Kaepernick did that he would be described as a "flash in the pan", but Smith does it and if only he still played here we would clearly be 8-2.

Pure bullshit. I have nothing against smith, I think he is a good heady QB. But he can't throw the passes or do the things kaepernick can do. Just watch the playoffs this year, it won't look better than it did against Denver on Sunday. I promise.

For some fans, the grass is always greener. How fast the memories and comments about the 2012 NFC Championship game are forgotten. If KC falls behind in a game they will not catch up and win. That is because of Smith and their offense. That is the Achilles heal of that team that has been winning on defense and defense alone.

I like Seattles chances more than KC's, at least they have shown they can put together impressive last minute offense to come from behind and win, albeit against poor teams, but still... that is something Smith won't be doing.

Do those games deserve the bad team caveat that you like to use so much when talking about the Seahawks?

Besides, even in those games it's not like he proved that he could confidently stand in the pocket and spread the ball around. The niners got nice leads and he rode the wave, the point of this thread is mostly about his ability to step up when things aren't going well and LEAD his team.

Which Quarterback with garbage WR's is blowing up? Which QB with no run game, no WR's, and a suspect O-line is killing it?

This bullshit where all the success the team has is because of the O-line and the run game and good WR's, but when the team struggles its all Kaepernicks fault... its just totally fucking stupid sickness. Even from you.

A franchise QB is expected to step up his game and lead his team to wins when nothing else is working well.

Sonny, I give you guys credit for winning those games. But you have to admit a pattern is there of struggling against poor teams for the hawks.

Niners lost one game badly and that was to you guys. Besides that, every loss was a close one and each and every loss was against a very good team.

When the niners have played inferior opponents they have put them away... with ease. which is what you should do. I know you guys are proud of your fourth quarter miracles against the texans and such, but Kaep and the niners extinguished them 34-3. The Rams nearly beat the hawks, the niners beat them 35-11.

Clearly the seahawks are playing better than the niners right now, but the point is still there.
