I didn't pick a QB til round 8 last night. Drafted Eli Manning, then drafted Joe Flacco in round 10. I took RBs 3 of my first four picks.

only 10 teams, so only 10 starting QBs needed.

in this league you prob don't need to draft a QB until all your RB/WR slots are filled. hell, you could probably pick up Carson Palmer and Alex Smith after drafting your backups.

if I were going to keep someone, D. Thomas or D. Wilson would be the targets, as they are much more valuable from a FFL perspective. D Thomas is at least a 3rd rounder and D Wilson is a good prospect and you need good RBs to compete in ff.
Still, I look at the keepers as a first round pick. but whatever.

You're right. I think that's why most people see Kapernick as a tier 2 QB and Russle in that category or even in the next tier with FF. When the top 5 QB's are gone, the picks turn to the best RB's and WR's out there as the drop between them and the next tier is greater in average points per week than the QB's from tier 2 to tier 3. Such as, guys like Kapernick and Wilson end up going in rounds 3-4-5 as most people are focusing on grabbing the best available RB/WR to fill their spots. Also, since a lot of leagues only use 1 QB total (with no flex) but still start 2 RB's and 2 WR's (or 3 in some leagues) the need to fill those slots up with quality players outweighs the need for a QB outside of that top tier ranking.

I've won my 14 team money league 2 of the last 3 seasons with Drew Brees as my keeper and I picked last in the 1st round (round after keepers are selected...i still call it the 1st). So, y'all just suck is what I'm basically trying to say.

Got Trent Richardson and AJ Green with picks 14 and 15 last year.
