8 man PPR auction league

I trade : Russell Wilson and Marvin Jones

I get: Zeke and Pat Mahomes

I have Gurley, Fournette, and Henry already and my WRs are very meh, but I hit accept in less then a minute. This guy must be a big RW fan, I know I got bid up to get RW ($17.00) so he must of been the one bidding against me.
We start 3 WRs and a flex and this being PPR being weak at WR isn’t ideal by any means, but I couldn’t turn that down. I’ll work the WW for WRs and hope my RBs carry me.
I know this is only a 8 team league but damn Gurley, Zeke and Fournette plus Henry seems like a monster RB Corp, even for a 8 team league.

What do you have at wide receiver? I think I might try and trade either Fournette or Henry for a top tier wide receiver. With PPR and starting 3 wide receivers it's going to be tough for running backs to carry you even if they are studs. I mean it's the same points if a wide receiver has 8 catches for 80 yards as if Zeke rushes for a 100 yards and a touchdown.

My WRs are Baldwin ( big surprise right?) Kupp, Hogan ( who I have high expectations for) Sanders. I’ll be hitting the WW for WRs as soon as this trade is officially completed. Looking at it, looks like rookies will be my best bet. I have Engram for a TE, really tried for Kelce but my budget keep me from being able to win him. My look to see if a trade is possible.

Yeah your right. I regret grabbing Fournette when I did, should of saved my $ for a stud WR. Being green at auctions I was foolish there. I just didn’t want to see Fournette go cheap after paying $71.00 for Gurley. On the bright side Gurley and Zeke will catch some passes themselves. I really wanted Gurley in this league just because it’s the only league I have a chance to own him. Only league I’ll own Zeke also.

Well I usually don’t do well either, except for the first time and think this is only the fourth auction league I’ve entered and the only 8 team league ever. Did it more for the practice and experience and chuckles. If I can swing a trade for a stud WR, I could be alright.

Just my opinion mind you but the guy has not even tapped into his full potential yet. And even though he led the league in fantasy points last year with a bad line I see him putting up nutty numbers. I think the wr core is better than what people think and there defence is gonna be very bad. They won't be able to rush except for Wilson himself when he breaks out of the pocket. I think he will win many people championships this year

Well, only if they fix the oline - - which they didn't. Hate to say it, but I'll be surprised if he makes through the season on both legs. ....

Chris Carson is their 2nd starting RB and Jamison Crowder is their 3rd starting WR. I offered 4 players (all of them better than Carson and Crowder) for Zeke, Julio and Crowder. According to the trade evaluater thing it was pretty even, and I was definitely willing to adjust and negotiate. They just rejected. I felt like my offer was better than what Harold gave him, though.

That trade was his idea. Given the rest of his RBs kind of surprising, but hey I don't mind.

Wilson will be better than Mahomes, but considering the crumbling state of Seattle and the weapons in KC, that margin may not be as large as people think

And Marvin Jones is a replaceable part

They basically gift wrapped you Zeke. I can't complain too much, but what I offered helped their team out a lot, while this trade pretty much locked them up for last place by a mile, imo.

He obviously believes WRs are what counts and Jones gives him depth at the position. That's a heck of a WR Corp and top QB and Walker decent TE. The zero RB approach it looks like.

personally I don't... in an 8 team league everyone is gonna be pretty stacked... makes it much harder to trade for a guy like Henry... Then again, if you wait until the season starts and henry shows that he is a legit back, then you can probably get something...
