He is not looking at anything close to a lifetime ban. All of his failed tests came while he was in the minors. Heck, he didn't even fail a test this time, he admitted to the drug use. Since this would likely be considered his first offense, he might just be looking at a long stint in rehab & no suspension. Although Selig did allow him back in the league “via Bud Selig’s discretion and terms”, so I guess the new commish could use that to punish him outside of the JDA.

From a baseball perspective, is that "worse than PEDs", though?

For him, personally, it is ABSOLUTELY worse than PEDs. But not as far a the Commissioners office is concerned...

My reasoning is that he has already been banned for substance abuse so in his case a repeat offense could lead to a very severe punishment that is in fact worse than PEDS.

Where's Vernon Wells when you need him

-Arte Moreno

Mike Napoli was involved in two god awful trades. The Wells trade, and him being traded to the Rangers for Frank Francisco, a mediocre reliever. Batted .320/.414/.631 in 2011 with 30 HR in 432 PA.

Whatever you do, don't ask him to toss you a ball if you're in the outfield stands.

I seriously wonder if his parents or children have any regard left for him. He's going to end up dead or in prison.

He's going to end up killing himself with that shit. It is seriously awful that his daughters could have a father to look up to, but instead they have that guy.

I'm sure you've seen the way this creep carries himself at games. Astonishingly, he may be more arrogant than Tiger Woods. He walks around emitting copious amounts of arrogance and sends the clear message to everyone around him that he's better than them. Why? Who knows? Maybe because he's a drug addict with bad tattoos who loves cheap sex with floozies? :noidea:

But I do have one question: Will the "I'm a man of God first" talk finally stop? Or will it only get worse?

When he gave the Rangers and the fans the finger heading to Anaheim I think that crap came to an end..at least it should have.

Considering he needed special permission to come back into the league, pretty sure no one in MLB considers this a first offense. First offenders don't usually have the testing regimen Josh has.
