does the league give this kid another shot? i think they have to at this point, especially with the changing views on pot in the nfl.

It will be his last chance before he goes to the CFL.

Did those a few times back during those times. Had lots of fun playing Guitar Hero while that was going on.

Alas, I am a productive member of society now. Somehow even made it out of college with a Masters degree too.
Working on my material sciences degree as we speak.

What is it about the Lions that Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson both retired with something still left in the tank?

Let him try, it's only pot. I find it amazing a guy can't lay off the stuff for millions of dollars though.

This. Have your 10-12, maybe 15 year career while making a shit ton of cash and then retire and smoke all day.

Why would I?

Not sure but if you are testing for stuff it's going to turn up from the night before.

And you said you were testing.

And I asked earlier if it was a work day thing or a complete thing (including time off) and you didn't elaborate.

I don't smoke weed but don't think it's a big deal.....other drugs, not so much.....

Still, it's not hard to do it only in the off-season and then skip it during the season......or just not do it during your playing career and then do it 24/7 when you "retire."

Not beating on any horse.

You just aren't being clear what your issue is with your employees.
You don't own a business so you aren't in any position to question my motives.

I fully defend your right to drug test your employees. I'm sure they agree to it when they take the job, but I'm just curious. As a business owner, wouldn't it be more cost effective to simply terminate employees for inefficiency as opposed to drug testing them with the assumption that if they took drugs they would be inefficient?
